“Wake up!” Grace yelled as she burst her way into my room. I groaned and I pulled the pillow over my head in an attempt to silence her so I  could continue to sleep, in peace. “Nora! We have a hair appointment.” She squealed throwing off the pillow from my head.

I groaned again, “Gracie.”

“Don’t Gracie me.” She scolded and began hitting me with the pillow, “Now wake up, today’s the big day!”

“Alright. Alright.” I laughed, “I’m up, now stop hitting me with that thing.”

She put the pillow down and gave me a victorious smirk. “Yay, now hurry and get dress. We’ve got things to do today.”

I sighed and threw my blanket off me. I stretched on the edge of my bed before I looked at the clock. “Grace!” I screamed, annoyed. “It’s Seven!”

“Hurry!” She laughed as she called back. Damn her.

I showered and changed and by the time I was downstairs it was only Eight. “I hate you.” I muttered walking into the kitchen where Grace and Scarlet were. Scarlet giggled sweetly as she shrugged her shoulders.

“Love you too.” Grace smirked at me and I rolled my eyes.

“But seriously why did I have to wake up at seven if our appointment isn’t until ten thirty?” I asked.

She shrugged and helped Scarlet peel her orange. “Because.. I may have been a tiny tiny bit excited.”

I laughed, “A tiny bit?”

“So I got carried away.” she shrugged again, flushing red. “But it’s not everyday my best friend gets married.”

“True.” I agreed and pour myself a glass of orange juice. “You ready to get your hair and nails done?” I asked Scarlet.

She nodded quickly, “I’m so excited! I’ll be a princess!” She squealed. I smiled and took a drink of my juice. She was too precious.

It was ten when we left the house and I instantly looked to the tent on the lawn. I wanted to go over and kiss Asher goodbye but I couldn’t. Grace was traditional in the sense that I wasn’t allowed to see Asher until the ceremony.

I sighed as I got into her car and she drove the short fifteen minute drive to the hairdressers. Butterflies were already beginning in the pit of my stomach and I knew that  this was going to be a long day.

Two hours later, I had my hair and nails done along with both Grace and Scarlet. We were on our way to the venue, which was a small church in our tiny town. It’s was absolutely beautiful.

I slipped into my dress and I smiled as Grace tightened the back of the dress while I looked in the mirror. It was the first time I was seeing my hair and the dress together, it was amazing.
