I bent down and greeted the puppy as it jumped around. He was honestly thee cutest puppy in the world.

“Asher.” I smiled up at him as the puppy nipped at me to play with him. “This is the best present ever.”

He smirked and leaned down to press his lips to my forehead, “I know.” he whispered and my body tingled. The puppy barked and I tore my eyes away from the adorable man in front of me to the little guy running around, “It’s a boy, by the way.”

“Thanks.” I laughed, “What do you want to name him?”

“Naw uh baby girl.” Asher shook his head, “He’s all yours.”

I pouted my lips slightly as I looked up at him, “But I value your opinion.”

“I’m sure you do.” He shook his head again and helped me to my feet.

I watched the little puppy running around and I smiled to myself. What had I honestly been afraid of? Asher would be the last person to hurt me, he proved that and I just needed to trust him. I did.

“Why’d you pick a rottweiler?” I asked suddenly, sure he was small now but he’s going to get so big! Asher’s cheeks tinted as a blush crept up his face. “Asher? Are you blushing?” I bit my bottom lip to stop myself from laughing.

“No.” He shook his head and looked away from me.

“Hey.” I grabbed his face so he looked at me, “Don’t hide from me, please.”

“Then don’t laugh.” He told me seriously but the sides of his lips twitch telling me he was joking.

“I wasn’t laughing.” I gave him my best innocent look.

“Sure.” He rolled his eyes.

“Besides,” I stood up on my tiptoes and breathed in his ear, “I think it’s hot.”

I felt him tense and he let out a loud gulp. “Nora.” He groaned.

I laughed and pushed him away from me, “Why did you pick a rottweiler?” I laughed as I asked again.

He shrugged, “To keep you safe. I don’t want him to like attack people or anything, I just want you to be safe.”

I smiled, “Aw. Ashy.” I cooed and he smirked.

“Don’t pretend that, that doesn’t make you happy.” He placed his hands on my waist and pulled me closer to him.

“I don’t need to pretend.”

“Baby.” He squeezed me and brushed his lips against mine. He held us in that position for what felt like forever but was more like a second. His breath hitting my lips, tickling me. I just wanted him to kiss me, like ugh.
