Ok so a big warning for this one-shot: I DO NOT KNOW ANY ROMANIAN SO I AM VERY SORRY FOR USING GOOGLE TRANSLATE, IF IT IS HORRIBLY WRONG PLEASE FORGIVE ME (the English translations in italics are what I meant to say if there is any confusion).

Although this one-shot is based on the plum scene from Civil War there are no spoilers, although at this stage I'm sure most of you have watched it.

And I also want to say thank you for 3.3k+ views and 114+ votes it means the world to me!

Every Friday you would work at the local market selling all kinds of fresh vegetables and fruits with  Alexandru,  Cosmina and Gabi (although you saw them once a week you actually didn't know that much about them and conversations between you all didn't last very long).

Usually you took little note of who you were selling to, faces would come and go and most days caused you to hurry customers along to avoid crowds forming around the small stall. But you couldn't help but notice a rather shifty man, who must have been around your age, who came to you every week to buy the same fruit. Plums. Nothing else. Just plums.

Even when a huge crowd of people were bustling for the most ripe and delicious goods you could somehow sense him, he had an intriguing aurora around him

"Cinci leu românesc, vă rugăm. Five Romanian leu please." you hand the English tourist her apples, hoping that she knows enough Romanian to understand because your English is very limited. She fumbles with her 'English to Romanian Dictionary and phrasebook' while balancing her apples and her purse.

"Uhh... ah!" a look of understanding washes over her face and she hands you a note, which you quickly put in the till and hand her her change.

"Vă mulțumesc foarte mult, au o zi mare! Thank you very much, have a great day!" you can tell she is very confused by how fast you are speaking, so you try to say it in English.

"Thank you, have a good day!" you know your accent is very strong, but at least she understood you and appreciated the gesture. You turn around and pick up some carrots at Gabi's feet. It was then you sensed him. You don't know how, or why, you could but the only way you could describe it was like someone was lurking in the shadows; watching you.

So when you swiveled around, dirty carrots still in hand, to be met with his face it didn't startle you. His head was down, hand assessing the plums, eyes flicking; surveying.

"Trebuie sa iubesti cu adevarat prune, huh? You must really love plums, huh?" you speak to the man first before Cosmina could. You throw the carrots away in the bin you keep under the stall but while you did you didn't, couldn't, take your eyes off him. Was he a spy? Was he working for the government? That would be exciting.

"Nu chiar. Not really." his voice was to the point- very direct and commanding. Your attention is turned to an elderly lady buying some apples and strawberries, but your mind was still buzzing with his words. When you turn back to serve the man he holds up a bag full of plums.

"Cât costă? How much?" yet again he didn't fuss around or make petty conversation, but you were curious.

"În cazul în care nu vă plac prunele, de ce le cumpere? Sunt ele pentru altcineva? Sau tu le mananci pentru beneficiile de sănătate? Acolo folosit pentru a fi a- If you do not like plums, why buy them? Are they for someone else? Or do you eat them for the health benefits? There used to be a-" you are in your element, you could spend many minutes talking to customers, learning about their life stories and the like.
