Bucky Barnes X Reader One-shots

Pre War:

"Ever wonder if they'll invent something better than records?" Bucky flicked through his collection as you intently watched.

"Well uh I sure as hell hope so. These things are huge!" you picked up one and examined it in your hands.

Bucky chuckled as he carefully placed a record on the gramophone. 

Crackling fills the air as Bucky offers you his hand, blushing you accept and take it.

"I love you..." you instantly recognise the song as 'I love you for sentimental reasons' by Nat King Cole. Smiling you relax into Bucky's chest as he sways from left to right.

"...for sentimental reasons..." you felt safe in his arms, protected from any harm the world could try and throw at you.

"And why exactly did you chose this song?" you look up into Bucky's dazzling eyes.

"Because it reminds me of us doll, and I know it's one of your favourites." feeling your cheeks heat up you rest your head in the nape of his neck. 

"-I'll give you my heart." you feel Bucky's hand rest on the small of your back.

"I love you, and you alone were meant for me..." as your body swayed in time with the music your mind couldn't help but think about the man you were dancing with. 

He was too good to be real, it was like God had sculpted him into your vision of the perfect boyfriend. Everything he said, everything he did...

Let's just say that you found him VERY attractive.

"You alright there doll?" Bucky spun you around making you giggle.

"I'm just peachy." you lift your hand up and run it through his silky soft hair before slinging your arms around his neck.

"-I hope you do believe me..." gradually you realise that Bucky is leaning towards you, so you take action into your own hands, or lips, by kissing him softly.

In response he stops swaying and instead wraps his arms around your body.

You deepen the kiss and Bucky lets out a small pleasurable moan.

"I love you James." you murmur against his tender lips.

"I love you with all my heart (y/n)." he hums before your lips connect again.

After a while you pull away and gasp for air.

"Do I leave you breathless?" you roll your eyes and shove him playfully.

"That's so cheesy!" you giggle as Bucky strolls over to the record player.

"But you love it!" his furiously wiggling eyebrows make you burst into a fit of giggles while simultaneously making you blush.

"Oh stop it you!" Bucky slipped the record into its sleeve while you calmed yourself.

Soon enough you were in each other's arms again, safe in his strong embrace. 

The only music you needed was his heart beat.

I know that wasn't as long as my usual one-shots but I hope it made up for it in cuteness.
