Chapter 13
Once more with feeling
Don't let the silence get you down,
Though youv'e been sitting here for hours,
Hoping a voice could soon be found,
That speaks much louder than this music,
If you're a little off colour and
Out for the count.
Don't let it get you down.
It was like i had finally been awaken from this hell by something so pure, so beautiful. Her voice: the music, the warm breeze was an utter dream. I couldn't believe my ears when i suddenly heard this beautiful music being played and yet i didn't even know who this beautiful angel was. Nor what she looked like. I wiped my tears as i slowly pulled myself up, lifting my weight from the ground and up onto my feet, listening intently to this amazing voice.
It was coming from inside the building, i didn't even consider it to be in use as it looks so old and ancient. I stepped forward to the small window in front of me and wiped the dust from it's glass, searching inside it to see who owed this alluring voice. I squinted my eyes firmly trying to get a more superior view as i saw a girl sitting down on a old looking stool, playing a piano in the corner of the room. Sadly, her back was turned to me, but she looked cute from behind. Her hair was a jet black, falling half way down her back and she had a nice curvy waist and looked about my height, but since she's sitting down i can't exactly confirm that.
Heck, she's looks cute, and her voice...wow! It's almost like her voice takes away all of the pain and what's just happened a few minute's ago. Who is this girl? Why is she here alone? Is this the music room or something? Is she even allowed in here?
"Kate?"
"Shit" As i heard my name, i fell slightly hitting the window to stop myself from a major embarrassment, but i guess that failed. I just nearly fell in front of, heck knows who. I stood up straight and then looked back into the window trying to see if the girl had heard the sudden bang. Only to find that she had gone. Damn it, she heard you and now she's gone. I sighed heavily annoyed by the sudden distraction and turned around- it was Jess.
"Hey, sorry i was just-"
"Falling off the side of a window. Yeah i know" She said, cutting me off from my sentence, as a small smile appeared on her face. Surely, with a kind smile like hers, she couldn't have made that poster about me. Actually, to think about it all now, maybe Vanessa was the one who did this to me. After all, she did make fun of me in the hall way earlier and said some awful things. Then again, it was about to come out sooner or later, i just would have wished later.
"What are you doing here? How did you know i was even here?" I asked. I wiped the dust off my blazer as i took a seat on the grass, watching as Jess followed behind, taking a seat next to me.
I turned my head slightly as i gazed at Jess, her hair was blowing swiftly in the breeze as she leaned on her elbows, just about nearly lying on her back as she glanced at the sky frowning.
"I didn't, i guess it was just fate that brought me here" She said, winking.
Why was she being so nice and flirty? Just a while ago she was sitting there reading a book, ignoring the fact that my life was being ruined right beside her with a poster. She didn't care then, so why did she care enough to come find me now? Unlike Amy, who tore that thing down and looked angry. Why was she here flirting, when she was supposed to be kicking Vanessa's tiny butt!
