YOU'RE ALL I HAVE!*Narrator's POV
"...and that's what happened." The brown-haired girl says as she clutches Alex's flannel to her chest, along with a small, blue and white pacifier with the words 'Angel' engraved on it.
Cordelia sunk to the floor, thoughts and images blurring, racing through her mind. That's why she couldn't see what Alex had been through when she touched her.
Alex was strong and she had a secret to hide.
A big one.
Misty was the first to break the heavy silence that ensued.
"So... Alex is ma' sista'? How come I don't 'member anything?"
"Alex could've casted a memory spell." Cordelia says as she taps her cane along the floorboard, using it to help hoist her up. "And to think I could trust her." She shakes her head. "I'm as blind as I ever was."
"Well... we have ta' find her!" Misty proclaims.
"No, Misty." Cordelia replies firmly. "It was wrong of me to cast her out, but it would be even more wrong of me to bring her back in. Bury her things."
"But Delia," Misty grabs her arm, searching her scarred eyes and face for any emotion whatsoever.
"No."
"But Delia!" Misty exclaims.
"NO BUTS, MISTY!"
"SHE'S MY SISTA'! WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS?!" Misty shakes her shoulders violently.
"SHE WAS GOING TO KILL US ALL!" Cordelia shoves Misty backwards, causing her to fall on her behind. "She left you." Cordelia spat as she brushed herself off. "That's no sister." She growls and picks up her cane, angry at herself for letting the monster into her home once again. "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice-"
"SHAME ON YOU!" Misty screams suddenly. "SHE'S MY ONLY FAMILY! WHO CARES IF SHE WOULD KILL ME! YOU KNOW SHE WOULDN'T! SHE SAVED MY LIFE! YOU COULDN'T!"
"Misty." Cordelia said calmly, her expression placid. "The most evil monsters are within our own family. I found that out long ago. And the most evil ones come bearing gifts." And with that, she hobbled out of the room, her cane making clacking sounds on the floorboard."Ouch, Ms. Myrtle!" Misty exclaims as she steps out of the black limo- and onto the scorching gravel.
"Misty, darling, I told you to wear shoes. It's not my fault you didn't listen to my warning."
"But Ms. Myrtle," Misty whines. "I hate them things. Just like these damn bras..." She says, pulling on the strap that was visible under her floral shawl.
"It should be... here." The third girl, a blonde with large glasses points to a gravestone, Alex's flannel still wrapped around her arm.
"Um, dearie?" Myrtle speaks up. The girl turns as she points to the pile of red dirt, seemingly dug up and repacked only hours ago.
"Oh." She nods.
"Stevie? Would ya' mind?" Misty asks politely, gesturing to the pile of dirt.
"Oh, sure, Misty." Stevie replies, moving her hands. The block of dirt rises into the air- and disassembles on the ground beside the headstone, which reads, 'Alfred Black'.
"Shit, how long she been down there?" Misty asks, peering into the hole. "Stevie?"
"Got it." Stevie wiggles her index finger and the casket comes flying out of the depth.
Misty ducks to avoid the heavy black box flying towards her.
"She's already dead, Stevie, you didn't have to shake her up!" Misty exclaims. "And then ya' almost decapitate me!"
"Sorry." Stevie chuckles, pushing the lid of the casket open.
"Is she breathing?"
"Is her heart beating?"
"Is that blood?
"Is she alive?"
Murmurs and whispers flew through the sweltering afternoon air as everyone crowded around the casket, staring down at the girl with blood on her head.
"She's unconscious." Misty says, her fingers on Alex's pulse point. "Shit. Can anybody do Vitalum Vitalis?"
All three of the girls from the sister coven shake their heads solemnly, including Patty.
"There's only so much I can do." The brown-haired girl who saw her past says.
"Me too." The redhead with the cat eyeglasses admits.
"Me three." The blonde hangs her head.
"I could try." Stevie speaks up. "I mean, God knows I can't pass the Seven Wonders, but if Alex is meant to be brought back, then-"
"Try it, Stevie." Misty encourages.
"Yes, darling." Myrtle follows suit.
"O-kay." Stevie sighs, already almost worn out from moving dirt with her fingers.
She was getting older.
Her powers, weaker.
"If it be your will, Lord," she looks up to the heavens, then leans down to breathe against Alex's lips. "Vitalum Vitalis."
She steps back, afraid of what might happen. In her many years of witchcraft, she had never brought someone back to life. It had been a power she registered she didn't have and just let it go.
She was thinking of this when suddenly Alex sat up, gasping for air.
And Stevie Nicks passed out cold on the ground.
"Alex!" Misty exclaims, jumping over Stevie's body to embrace her newfound half-sister. "Ya're alive!"
"Misty." Alex croaks, and is rewarded by a slap in the face.
"Ow!" She exclaims, being enveloped in another hug.
Misty was sending her mixed signals.
"I know what ya' are. The redhead told us your past. But I don't care. 'Cause ya're my sista' and ya're alive."
"Your sister?!" Alex exclaims.
"Wha-? Didn't ya' know?"
"No! Someone please explain this to me! Oh my God, is that Stevie Nicks?" She asks, launching out of the casket.
She kneels beside her favorite singer since she was young, slapping her face lightly.
"Huh, what?" Stevie mumbles as she comes to.
"Hi." Alex answers, helping her off the gravel.
"Hi." Stevie replies, brushing off her black dress and offering Alex her hand. "I'm Stevie Nicks. You must be Alex."
"Yeah." Alex says, keeping her cool. Unlike Misty the first time she met her idol.
"I'm Stevie Nicks."
[Whump].
"Honestly, I thought I'd be the one who'd faint, not you." Alex says curiously.
"Yeah, that... Vitalum Vitalis will really get you." Stevie laughs.
"Oh my God. Thank you. I-" she stops, her face hardening. "Madison." She growls under her breath.
"What? What's wrong?" Misty asks as Alex starts walking towards the street. "Alex!"
"I'll meet you at the house!" She calls over her shoulder, an angry look still chiseled on her face.
Myrtle and Misty glance at each other.
"Yea', I'll follow her.""You bitch!" Alex exclaims as she plucks Madison out of her chair outside the café, not caring if people were around or if the Supreme was sitting across the table, sipping at a coffee spiked with bourbon.
"You?!" Madison exclaims as Alex slams her against the brick wall of the the café. "I thought you were dead!"
"Looks like you made the same mistake twice!" Alex shouts, slapping her across the face. "I don't need to waste my magic on you. I can do you with my hands."
"You hit like a girl!"
A few heads turn in their direction, but Fiona uses Concilium to turn them back around. It's as if no one can see or hear the WWE fight going on behind them.
And the Supreme just watches in amusement.
"You're like, twelve!" Madison insults as she shoves Alex off of her, causing her to fall on and ultimately break a glass table.
"I brought you back to life!" Alex shouts, pulling Madison into the pile of glass shards.
"That was your mistake!" Madison screams, flipping on top of Alex's body.
"I could kill you again, right here, right now." Alex growls, slamming Madison's head against the pavement, wrapping her fingers around her throat.
"Fiona." Madison croaks as the Supreme sips at her drink. She so badly wanted to see Alex kill Madison, but so badly wanted to slit the bitch's throat again herself.
"Enough." Fiona waves her hand, sending Alex flying into the air, hitting the brick building across the street with a thud.
"Alex!" Misty exclaims when she sees her laying on the ground, groaning loudly. "Alex, are you okay?"
"Fine." She grunts, picking herself up off the sidewalk, with a little bit of Misty's help.
She glares at Madison from across the street, who looks about as beat up as she does, bleeding and bruised.
"Come on, Alex." Misty murmurs as she catches Fiona's amused gaze. "Let's go home."
