thank you everyone for reading this story, it really has been one of my favorites to work on. jung hoseok is undoubtedly a ray of sunshine in the storm so I thought I'd change the roles a bit~

however, considering that the main focus was on the more poetic aspect of the speech, some important containing elements could easily be unclear or missed. so I thought it'd be best to give some further explanation.

hoseok and jiyun were supposed to be together for a long time, they loved each other dearly. nonetheless hoseok's alcoholism caused problems in their relationship, leading him to become occasionally abusive and her to turn to self harm in order to cope with having to be strong for both. even though she'd support and stay by his side at any given time, jiyun, emotionally drained and exhausted by his lack of courage to deal with his frequent relapses, had to give up on her boyfriend in order to find herself again. lost in his maze hoseok realized why he truly lost her much later, after he decided to write her letters in order to find slight comfort in their memories. in the meanwhile, finding out about her leukemia he really sank into the darkness, and especially after her death fell back into drinking again. as suicidal thoughts took over him, hoseok was close to commit it when the words of his deceased loved one motivated him into learning to live with the pain, making it a part of himself, for her sake as proof of his everlasting love.

I am very grateful to whoever took the time to give Dear Jiyun a shot, and deeply thankful to all the readers. hoseok bless y'all ~
