I Want A Country

I want a country that doesn't see me as a virus and it's guns the cure.
I want a country that doesn't use me as target practice.
I want a country that says All Lives Matter and actually mean all lives, not just the ones that look like it.
I want a country that treats my mama right.
I want a country that treats my brothers and sisters with respect.
I want a country to not have its history coated in blood and pretend the wounds have healed.
I want a country to not be so proud of its ignorance.
I want a country to stop wishing all its problems to be solved.
I want a country to stop wishing I was solved.
Too stop treating me as the problem.
Too let me dream this American dream it keep telling me.
But the only dream I keep dreaming is.
For this country to be mine like it promised it was.
Or for it to leave me alone and let me live.
