Joe's POV
I listened as the captain explained more about the ship all while looking around. When we were walking on the main deck, something caught my eye.
"Captain sir, permission to speak?" I asked, trying my best to sound polit
"Granted." The captain smiled.
"Thank you sir. Well, there seems to be more passengers aboard than life boats." I stated. The captain just laughed in my face.
"Boy, this is the unsinkable Titanic. There is no need for all those useless lifeboats cluttering up the main deck. In fact, these boats we have here are clutter as well." He explained. I nodded curtly, keeping a tight lip. No one should be that cocky that they'd gamble the lives of thousands.
"Come, I'd like to show you where I steer the ship." The captain said. I walked up closer to Andy until we were walking side by side.
"This is really strange." I whispered in his ear.
"What is?" Andy whispered back.
"A ship holding thousands doesn't have the lifeboats to fit the number of passengers. The captain is gambling the lives of all these people."
"Joe, calm down. The Titanic is a beautiful ship. You heard the captain, she's unsinkable." I scoffed and fell back from Andy.
"That sounds like a load of crap." I mumbled. We finally got to the control room and a message came through.
Iceburge warning in your course of travel. Please be advised.
"Iceburge warning?" I blurted out. Andy glared at me subtly and then looked back at the captain.
"Is that something we should be worried about?" Andy asked.
"Of course not son. The Titanic is safe. With out many flooding compartments, any collision that happens will result in only minor damages." The captain assured us.
But I still wasn't assured. There's something bad coming and I know it could all go wrong.
