THEY TOOK DOWN THE TREE NEAR MY HOUSE THE VIEW OUT MY WINDOW IS JUST THE UGLY BACK OF A FIRE STATION NOW NOOOOOOO
ok to be fair that tree was like 75% dead and had a decent chance of falling on either my house or the fire station during a storm so I'm sorta glad they cut it down but now there's no shade anywhere at my house and the sounds of the tree being cut up make me really sad.
Still though! That tree was the source of every leaf pile I played in as a toddler! That doesn't sound like a big deal but it is to me!
I'm sad. Rip tree.
Speaking of living behind a fire station, I have a couple weird stories that come from that.
#1: Ok this one was actually slightly traumatic. I was about 10 or 11, I looked out my bathroom window, and saw a bunch of firetrucks and police cars parked in the back lot of the firehouse, and a bunch of firefighters were standing there and 1 was dragging what looked like either a dead or passed-out girl along the ground. Yeah. What's wired about this is that I looked out the window again like 10 seconds later and they were gone. Trucks and all. And I didn't hear the fire trucks going out either, so I still have no idea what was up with that.
#2 Sometimes I can see the firefighters doing training exercises from my bedroom window. It's kind of neat. That's not much of a story, but it's just a neat thing that I don't think everyone sees.
Tree update: THEY'RE TAKING DOWN ANOTHER ONE NEXT TO MINE SCREW YOU FIREHOUSE THAT ONE WAS ONLY 25% DEAD IT COULD HOLD ITSELF!
