So this is just me rambling about various topics from evolution to memes to time travel. Enjoy!
Humans don't have particularly strong senses. We can't outrun most things that will attempt to eat us. We can't camouflage very well. We aren't suited for rough terrain. How the heck did we get to the top of the food chain and become the most evolved species on the planet?
Maybe our predecessors had the necessary adaptations to survive in nature, but in the time since we started changing nature on a large scale, we've lost some of those adaptations. But then, if some major event came and wiped out all the towns and food, and nature took back the land, we wouldn't stand a chance against things like lions and cheetahs and bears since we're adapted to towns and cities. So then, would humans just go extinct? Or would we figure out how to survive and rebuild?
Maybe we'd use different survival techniques than ancient humans did, and maybe we'd evolve differently. Or maybe humans could just slowly rebuild society over thousands of years, and then just pick up where we left off.
If a meteoroid or something came and hit earth, what would happen to the internet? Would it just be lost forever, or would it just be there, unknown to humans who'd forgotten about it over the generations?
Imagine if, in a thousand years, post-apocalyptic humans just found the internet again, and they'd find all the memes we've made and be like 'what the heck have our ancestors created?'
Could you imagine if all future humans learned about our culture they learned from the internet? They'd probably hate us cause we're so rude on the internet all the time.
Actually, they probably couldn't understand our language and writing, so they'd just get really excited and try to figure out what it all means and think there's a connection between Trump and self-insert fanfiction.
