(Y/N) watched as the sun dipped behind the tall buildings, the sky turning that of a vibrant pinkish-orange color. The birds had stopped chirping for the day, returning to their respectful nests and cuddling to their own for warmth. (Y/N) was doing the same at the moment, resting her head on Katsuki's tensed thighs. He stared down at her, how her (H/C) hair laid and softly wavered in the soft breeze.

They watched as people rushed around below. Rachel and Archer had been apprehended, apparently already on the police's hit list, and now the search ensued for the two missing teenagers who rested in silence on the roof of the school.

A particularly cool breeze flittered through the trees, making the leaves rustle and (Y/N) shiver. Katsuki felt the girl softly sniffle on his thighs, his eyes widening in realization. Her shirt hung off her side, covering her back but probably not doing much for her chest. He felt the tips of his ears and his cheeks redden as he shifted, pulling his own shirt off.

He pulled it up to his nose, and cringed at the burnt-sweaty smell, but as (Y/N) shivered again, he sighed in defeat, dropping the shirt onto (Y/N)'s head.

Her hands reached up as she rolled onto her back, lifting the shirt up and squinting at him in confusion. They reddened simultaneously as both got a good view of the other's chests, and (Y/N) quickly rolled back over at this insight. She placed a hand on Katsuki's thigh and leveraged herself up, groaning lazily. She let the shirt that she had been clutching on fall off her back as Katsuki turned away, predictably red as a tomato.

The shirt was too big on her, but she of course didn't mind. She secretly dipped her nose to the fabric and inhaling. It smelled like him. It made her chest tighten for some reason as she laid back down. Katsuki's thighs has relaxed, providing a softer pillow. She felt herself drifting into a much-needed rest when her lips spoke of their own accord,

"It's only been, what, a month? And I've already gotten you shirtless twice? Go me." She let her thoughts tumble out of her mouth, and was too drowsy to try and take them back. Her heavy eyelids snapped open at a sound, however. It was stronger than any caffeine or drug, it was the sound of Katsuki's laugh.

Now she'd be lying if she said Katsuki had a pretty laugh: it was a roaring, violent, genuine laugh, however. And that was enough to make her roll onto her back and stare at the under of Katsuki's jaw as he threw his head back and laugh. It made (Y/N)'s heart constrict and for the first time since she met the brash, loud-mouthed boy, she understood what was going on inside of her head. She loved the stupid guy. Now, she didn't understand it, but she swore she'd never act upon it, and not to let it affect the inkling of friendship that had begin to grow through the cracks.

He wiped a tear from his eye, a beautiful sight, and looked back down to (Y/N). She was beautiful, he'd have to be blind to not admit it. Even with puffy eyes and a rudolph nose, she was gorgeous. Shit, he was staring. Quick, make something up.

"Why are you staring at me like that, idiot?" He asked with a forced standoffish tone. She knit her brows together, still staring up at him. She would be lying if she said her heart wasn't losing control from the proximity of their face's.

"What do you mean?" She asked, scrunching her nose a little. He thought it was adorable, though he didn't let it show. He didn't understand it. He had always thought she was hot; everyone did. But he never studied and obsessed over every little beautiful insignificant detail.

"Like you love me or something." He joked, hoping the hopeful lilt in his voice was only his imagination. Her eyes flashed with danger, and he knew he fucked up.

"Did you fall for me already (Y/N)? Jeez, didn't take you long." He joked, trying to lighten the mood in his own way. It didn't work. She "hmph"d and rolled back over, facing away from him. The tension in the air slowly relieved and the two watched as the last bit of sun disappeared over the horizon.

(Y/N) had told her mom she'd be home late, she hoped she wasn't worrying. She'd have to apologize when she got home. Speaking of apologies...

The events that occurred earlier replayed in her head and she cringed, shivering a bit.

After about 5 minutes of contemplating, she decided she would apologize to Katsuki. She had gotten him wrapped up in this, something that could have potentially hurt him.

She rambeled on for a solid to minutes before Katsuki cut her off.

"Stop. I'll always be there to save your sorry ass." He admitted begrudgingly and turned away. It was dark, meaning that she thankfully couldn't see the brush that was steadily spreading across his features. She let her shoulders sag as she cuddled into KAtsuki's torso, craving his warmth. He stiffened, but relaxed just as quickly and let a hand rest on her shoulder, thumb moving in soothing circles. She felt his head through the fabric where his thumb ghosted, and blissfully smiled before speaking.

"It's a promise." She declared, sleep dripping from her voice. Not a few moments later, she was already asleep and Katsuki groaned in frustration. He's have to carry her home again. This girl would be the death of him.

A/N : NO this is not the ending (haha you wish there's like 40 more chapters) and NO they're not going to be declaring their undying love for eachother like next chapter. I don't believe romantic love forms that quickly, and while there is attraction, this love that they are both feeling isn't romantic YET, they just love each other's presence and being, which is important in real relationships. Be patient, readers, the longer the building tension the sweeter the first kiss is ;) BTW sorry for the delay, I literally have only one class that's not honors or AP so I'm dead.
