I woke up the next morning, feeling on top of the world.

Ron wasn't in his bed, and it was very early morning, so I presumed he was up.

I walked downstairs, forgetting that I took off my shirt when Ron was asleep last night because it was too hot.

"Oh, good morning," Ron smiled and looked me up and down from the kitchen table.

I figured out from the surprised 'oh' that I didn't have a shirt on.

"Sorry," I said and I ran upstairs, put on a t- shirt and went back downstairs.

"I forgot about that. Good morning," I smiled.

"You're fine, actually, better than that," he smiled and chuckled a little.

I tried not to blush, but I did.

"You're funny. Have you eaten breakfast yet? I think we have some peaches from yesterday," I sat down with him.

"Nope. I was waiting for you," he smiled more.

I handed him a peach and got one for myself, and sat down again with him.

We ate our peaches and eyed each other. I giggled a little as if I was a girl.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" I smiled.

"Because you're cute," he smirked without another word. I felt my face become hot. No one had ever called me cute.

We got done eating, put on our boots and went out the door.

"Well, we have some time to kill, so we'll guard the walls until everyone else gets up," he said and we started walking to the ladder.

We stood in silence for a while, glancing at each other and smiling.

"Good morning boys!" We both jumped a little and saw Sarah, a few feet away, smiling.

"Hi, Sarah!" Ron yelled back. He looked at me and laughed a little, since Sarah is so positive all the time, even mornings.

Sarah started walking toward the ladder.

"Thank you, boys, for guarding. Enid said she can take over," she said as I saw Enid walking up behind her, looking very annoyed at Ron.

"Hi, Ron," she said sarcastically when Sarah walked away.

She stomped on the ladder and when she got to the wall she stood up, arms crossed.

Ron and I went down the ladder and went to Sarah's.

"Sarah, can we go outside the walls?" Ron said out of nowhere to Sarah. I was surprised and questioningly looked at him.

"Absolutely not, boys. I would let you, but I'm sure Rick and Jessie don't want you doing that," she said.

"Oh, please? We won't tell our parents, they would never know," Ron whined like a little kid.

After some hesitation, she agreed.

"Oh, fine. You guys have to stay close, and have your guns. Be back in an hour," she smiled a little, giving in.

"Thank you!" I said and walked to the gates, which we crawled under so they wouldn't have to be slid open.

"So, why'd you want to go outside the walls?" I said to him after we left.

"Well, if I held your hand on a walk with you in Alexandria, there would be too much drama. This way, no one will know," he smiled and took my hand.

I interlocked my fingers with his and started walking.

"Yes!" He exclaimed, gripping tighter onto my hand and leading me towards a building.
