The nerves kicked in once Jacob turned into the driveway to his house. I've been anxious all day. Would Jacob's dad like me? Why could I suddenly not breath? We were in his Rabbit and I could swear I was going to break his hand. "Hayley relax. He's going to like you," Jacob said parking the car. "He pretty much has to since I'm your imprint," I reply looking out the window at the house. Jacob laughed a little and leaned to kiss me on the cheek. I slinked out of the car and followed Jacob into the house. "Dad, we're here," Jacob shouted through the house. I looked around taking in the view. There was a cute picture of Jacob when he was younger sitting on a side table. I smiled to myself as I heard wheels on the hardwood floor. I went to stand by Jake as his father came into view.
"Hey dad. I'd like to introduce you to Hayley, my girlfriend," Jacob stated snaking his arm around my waist. "It's nice to meet you Mr. Black," I say extending a hand to him. "Please call me Billy," he replied with a smile, shaking my hand. His smile was friendly and warm, just like Jacob's. "You're just in time for dinner," Billy exclaimed turning to head toward the kitchen. "Good I'm starving," Jacob said. "That's nothing new. You're always hungry," I reply sitting down at the table. Billy laughed as Jacob stuck his tongue out at me. "Looks like you've found someone with as much spunk as you do," Billy said as he began to fill up his plate. The food was absolutely delicious. Who knew men could cook so well? We talked and laughed about funny stories of when Jacob was little. Jacob would get embarrassed and I would just pat his hand, trying not to laugh to hard.
By the end of dinner, Billy and I seemed like we had known each other for years. "Son I have to say that you've got a good girl here," Billy states nodding his head towards me. I blush and look down. "Yeah I know dad. I'm just one of the lucky guys I guess," Jacob replied squeezing my hand. I looked over at him and he just smiled. I could tell he was very sincere. Billy let out a chuckle and began rolling himself to the sink with his plate. "You need some help cleaning up?" I ask standing and picking up my plate. "No, you kids go have fun, but not too much fun," he stated eyeing Jacob. Jake put his hands up as if to surrender. I giggle and place my plate in the sink. Jacob grabbed my hand and led me down the hall. The hallway was lined with pictures and different wall hangings. All the La Push houses had the same feel....safe and comfortable. We came to a stop at the last room on the hall. "This is my room," Jacob said motioning me in. I step into the room with Jacob following and closing the door behind us.
It was small like mine at Sam and Emily's. It had a bed and a small dresser. A closet was near the window and clothes scattered loosely around the floor. I take it all in. Every detail, every smell. "Sorry its so messy," Jacob exclaimed picking up a couple of clothes and throwing them in a hamper. "It's fine Jake. You wouldn't be a teenager if your room wasn't a little messy," I replied walking through the room. "You're right," he said before grabbing me and throwing me to the bed. "Jake!" I yelled laughing. I wiggled and tryed to get free from his grasp but to no avail. "Might as well give up. I'm too strong," Jacob stated keeping me pinned. I struggled a little longer then finally give up with a sigh. "Thank you," he exclaimed. "You're not welcome," I reply with a smirk. Jacob chuckled and leaned down, giving me a kiss. He put one hand on my side and the other remained over my head. I wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him closer to me and deepening the kiss. His body was pressing against mine and I was enjoying every moment. The heat from his skin was almost scorching but I didn't care. I didn't want him to stop kissing me. Suddenly there was a knock at the door. A deep growl came from Jacob's throat as he pulled away.
As he walked to the door I sat up and made myself presentable for whoever was behind the door. Jacob swung the door open and glared at Seth on the other side. "What do you want?" he spat agitated. "Hey Hayley. I need to talk to you about something," Seth replied after giving me a wave. Jacob sighed heavily in defeat and cracked the door behind him as he stepped into the hall. I got up and walked to the window not wanting to "accidently" eavesdrop. Obviously they didn't want me to hear but I'd find out eventually. The sun outside was starting to set so the light was dimming. I noticed a motorbike leaning against a small building in the backyard. I didn't know Jacob could ride a motorbike? He would definetly have to show me how to ride. Just when the thought crossed my mind, a girl appeared at the window. It startled me and let out a scream taking several steps back. "What is it?" Jacob exclaimed in concern rushing into the room with Seth on his heels. I just pointed to the window where the girl still stood. She was very pale with what looked like golden topaz eyes. Her hair was a long, wavy brown. She was really pretty.
Jacob went to the window and opened it. In the blink of an eye, she was standing in the room seemingly without touching the window as she climbed in. I was certain she wasn't entirely human but I couldn't place her. "We've got a problem," she spoke to Jacob. Her voice was soft and had a ring to it. It took me by surprise. "I know, Seth just told me," Jacob replied calmly. I was so confused and felt out of the loop. "Whoa, whoa. Can I ask who you are?" I asked the girl, wanting an answer. All three of them glanced at me. I saw a bit of worry flash across Jacob's eyes but then disappeared. "Oh, I'm sorry, I should have introduced myself. I'm Bella," She explained sticking her hand out for me to shake. I felt myself tense up at the name she presented me with. Bella. The same Bella Jacob had liked? The Bella that broke Jacob's heart? The one who married a vampire and by the looks of things has been turned into one? This should get interesting.
