So another post and once again short. It was my first story :)

Emily's POV
"So how come you didn't tell me she was coming," I exclaimed rummaging through the fridge trying to find something for supper. I wonder what Hayley would want to eat? Was she a vegetarian? Picky? Ugh, I didn't know anything.
"I didn't know she was. I haven't seen her or my brother in eleven years," Sam replied throwing away the broken plate and taking a seat at the kitchen bar. He let out a sigh and when I turned to look at him I could see that he was worried about her.
"Well did she say why she came? Anything about the bruise on her eye," I prodded while sticking two frozen pizzas in the oven. Sam had told me about his brother and that he had a kid but I had never met either of them. I just found it strange that she would show up out of nowhere for no reason.
"The only thing she said was that her and her dad were having problems," he says resting his head in his hands.
"You don't think he had something to do with the bruise do you?" I ask leaning on the counter in front of Sam.
"I don't know. She freaked out when I told her I was going to call him," he responds looking up at me. I've been with Sam long enough to see that there was something bothering about the situation. It didn't settle well with me either that she didn't want us to call her dad. She was obviously running from him but for what?
"Well she'll just have to stay with us til we figure this out," I state leaning and giving Sam a quick kiss.
"Yeah but I'll eventually have to call," he replied running a hand over his face. He was right. We couldn't just keep his daughter here and Sam not let his brother know that we have her.
"Just let her settle in first. I'll call the school tomorrow and see if I can get her in this late in the semester," I say turning back to the oven. Before anything else was said, we heard her door open and the stairs creak.
Hayley's POV
I came down the stairs to find Sam and Emily both in the kitchen. "Pizzas are ready," Emily said turning to face me with the pizza pans in her hands. I was so hungry I could've eaten them both myself. I sat next to Sam at the kitchen counter while Emily sat them down in front of us and going to get drinks. "So Hayley what grade are you in?" Emily asked taking a slice of pizza fro herself.
"I'm a junior, so 11th grade," I reply after taking a sip of my drink. "Good well tomorrow I'll call the high school and see if we can enroll you in classes," Emily said smiling at me. "Cool," I say reaching for another slice of pizza.
All of a sudden, the front door flew open scaring us all. The person who came in looked younger then me but was very built. "Seth what did I say about busting the door open," Sam yelled standing up. Seth had to bend over to catch his breath before replying.
"Sorry Sam but I have news," Seth breathed heavily. Emily came to stand beside me. I looked between Sam, Emily and Seth while taking a bit of my pizza slice.
"Well...what is it?" Sam asked taking a step toward him.
"He's back! Jacob's back," Seth basically yelled. Then something strange took place. Sam went over to Emily and gave her a kiss on the cheek before bolting out the door with Seth. Boy was I lost.
"Emily, who was that boy and who's Jacob," I ask turning to look at her.
"Oh, they're his friends or pack as I like to call them. Jacob has been gone for a little while so Sam just went to see him," she said turning to wash the dishes.
I couldn't help but feel that there was something she wasn't telling me but I wasn't going to pry. "Ok well I'm going to up to my room. Thanks for the pizza," I say setting my cup and plate in the sink and running upstairs. The rest of the night was uneventful. I took a shower and changed into some shorts and a t-shirt.
As I brushed my hair, I looked out the window. The wind had picken up some but the sky was clear and bright. As I looked, I saw someone walk out of the woods. It was Sam. Did he walk all the way to see Jacob? That didn't make any sense. This night just piled up the mysteries. What a wierd family I have.
