Chapter 10 - New Info

   I stared at the three in front of me. Bella still had her hand extended to me. I was thinking about if I should shake it or not. I mean, I kind of took it personal that she had hurt Jacob...my Jacob. After a few hesitant minutes I shook her hand, deciding that she was on thin ice with me until proven otherwise. Her skin was hard and extremely cold. Needless to say it was different from the warmth of Jacob's. I looked over at Jacob, who let out a breath he had apparently been holding in. I pulled back my hand and sat down on the bed. "So what's this problem?" I ask glancing between the three. Bella turned to Jacob who was contemplating on whether to tell me. His silence was beginning to bug me. "I'm a part of this world now. So tell me," I say staring at Jacob. He stared back at me, still silent. Seth looked between Jacob and I, as did Bella. "Fine, if you're not going to tell me then I'm leaving," I saiding standing.

      I began to walk to the door when Jacob finally spoke. "New vampires," was what he said as he crossed his arms across his chest. I stop in my tracks and turn back to face him. "Vampires that aren't the Cullens have been coming in and out of our territory. Bella and the rest of the Cullens think there's some reason for it and want the pack's help," Seth explained further. "So what are you going to do?" I question remaining in my spot. "Help of course," Bella answered. I turn my attention to her. "I don't believe I asked you and you can drop the sarcasm," I spat hearing the venom in my voice. Why was I acting this way? What happen to giving her the benefit of the doubt? Bella didn't move, didn't even blink. Jacob took a step forward and Seth stared at me wide-eyed. I took in a sharp breath and blew it out. "I'm sorry," I spoke directly to Bella, "I'm going to get some air." I turned and walked back to the door. I left the room, closing the door behind me, and heading outside.

Bella's POV

     I had to admit, seeing Jacob in love with another girl made me a bit sorrowful. This girl was pretty and normal which is just what Jacob needed and deserved. I understood that she felt threatened by me. I'm sure Jacob told her about our history together.

     Once she left, I turned to face Jacob and Seth. "She's very pretty Jake," I stated trying to make him feel better about what had taken place. "I know. Her name is Hayley by the way....she's my imprint," Jacob replied still staring at the closed door. "It's a good thing that you told her. She needed to know for her own safety," I say touching his shoulder. Jacob looked at the ground and sighed. "She's been through a lot and I just want to be the one that she never has to doubt," Jacob said. "You already are man," Seth chimed in. I smiled at Seth. He was always so sweet and supportive. "So what's the plan?" I ask.

Hayley's POV

     I sat on the hood of the Rabbit looking at the stars. I could slap myself. I felt so stupid for snapping on Bella. Of course the wolf pack would help the Cullens when lives were at stake. Bella was merely stating a fact. I layed there, dazed with my thoughts when I heard the porch creak, Seth was walking down the steps and heading toward the woods. He glanced in my direction and waved. I threw up my hand to say goodbye. He disappeared into the woods. "Hey," I heard beside me. I look to see Jacob standing next to the car. I slid over and he climbed on the hood next to me. He wrapped an arm around me and I layed my head on his chest. "I'm sorry I snapped earlier," I said, sorrow in my voice. "Don't worry about it," he replied pulling me closer to him. "Is it weird that I took it personal that Bella had hurt you even though it was in the past?" I ask leaning my head back to look at him. He was staring back at me. "Not at all. I took it personal when your father came. I understand how you feel and take it as caring," Jacob explained.

     I let what he said sink in as I stayed quiet. He felt the same way and that made me relieved. I layed my head back on his chest, listening to his heartbeat. "So what did you guys come up with?" I question. "Find out why they're here, protect everyone, and make them leave. I don't want anything to happen to you or my family. So it's a piece of cake," Jake said with a chuckle. I laughed as well and bury my face into his shirt. He leaned down and kissed the top of my head. Right then I decided to remain nice to Bella and trust completely in Jacob. We layed on the hood in each other's arms, just being together. Suddenly Jacob hopped of the car and picked me up in his arms. "Let's go." he exclaimed walking me back into the house. "What are we doing?" I ask confused of what to think. "Back to what we were doing before Seth rudely interrupted," he stated. I laughed as we headed in.
