I looked around the port that was illuminated by the blazing flames in the background. There was no one else but two other men that were companions of the men Charles just killed. When they saw me looking at them, they ran away in terror.

"Ciel is gone." I stated

Charles nodded. "Let's go find Her Majesty."

He led the way since he was more familiar with the streets of London. The heat and smoke of the fire was starting to get to me as we ran, but I shook my head and persevered on. We had to dodge around the frantic Londoners that were running the other way, and dance around the dead bodies on the ground. Suddenly we heard a terrifying roar.

"What on earth is that thing!?" Charles looked at the beast on top of a building in front of us, spitting fire in its enraged state. It was Pluto, its eyes glowing red and the collar around it glowing an unnatural white.

"A demon hound." I said. "Let's go around it." We ran sideways into another street that was not blocked, but suddenly some debris fell right in front of us which I barely managed to dodge, with one small piece causing a horizontal cut on my exposed arm where the fabric was ripped away by the brute back in the dock.

"Clare!" Charles pulled me back from the danger, "Are you alright?"

I looked at my wound, "It's only a small cut. Let's go."

Charles nodded and we decide to go the other way. But when we turn around, a red entity landed in front of us.

"Grell?" I said.

"Oh, is you?" He looked at me as he lazily waved his death scythe around, cutting the dead bodies on the floor.

"Is there a safe way to the Buckingham Palace?" I asked.

Grell crossed his arms and tapped his chin."Um.. I don't know. But I think I saw an abandoned carriage just around that corner, if you are willing to give that try." He grinned, flashing his sharp teeth.

"Thanks." I ran around the corner Grell pointed at and true to his word, there was an abandoned carriage with two horses still attached to it. When I hurried up to it I realised the ropes connecting them to the carriage were tangled into a mess. I tried to untangle it but to no avail.

"Stand aside." Charles took out his rapier and in a swift move, the horses were freed from the carriage. I took ahold of the reign of one of the horses to prevent it from running away.

"It doesn't have a sidesaddle, can you ride?" Charles asked as he secured his horse.

I smirked, "Of course, I can ride astride." Using the carriage step as a step-up, I heaved myself up onto the bareback of the horse. Charles chuckled and did the same. With a kicks to the sides of our horses, we were off racing through the now chaotic streets of England's capital.

We reached the Buckingham Palace without further troubles, where the flames hadn't reached yet. At the back entrance there was already an idle horse there, which probablywas the one Ciel used to get here.

Charles and I jumped off our horses, and ran passed the guards that strangely seemed not to be moving. Once we were inside, we discovered a row of guards that weren't exactly the most lively either. We went pass them in the hall, into the corridors of the Palace.

Charles stopped and looked around in suspicion, "It's too quiet." The last few times I was here, the palace was always busting with life at this time of the evening.

He opened a door to the side, revealing a kitchen. What was surprising was that all the cooks and maids in there were also completely still. "What is happening?" He muttered.
