I slowly opened my eyes when I felt the blinding light subsided.I soon realized that we were indeed standing in the middle of the Cinematic Record Library in the shinigami realm. I looked over to see Angela in her angel form, holding an unconscious Ciel.
"Let the purification begin." Angela said as she laid Ciel down onto a red sofa of the library, and sat down on the one next to it herself. I decided to remain standing.
I went to get a closer look at Ciel, who seems to be struggling in his sleep, sometimes twitching around slightly. His eyes were moving rapidly underneath his closed lids.
"Is he alright?" I asked.
"Yes, he will wake up soon." Angela answered.
True to her words, Ciel suddenly opened his eyes and sat up. He looked around confusedly and was obviously dazed y the sheer size of the the library.
"You are awake, then." Angela said.
Ciel's head snapped towards Angela. "So it was you, Angela Blanc?"
"How did your past feel?" She ask, still keeping the mysterious smile on her face. "Was it soft like burnished velvet? Or was it more like overwashed cotton's-"
"Shut up! That hand..." Ciel referred to the hand that the leader had laid on him, "That was my father's hand. You killed them didn't you?" He jumped off from the sofa angrily. "Why? Why did you kill my parents? What could you have possibly stood to gain-"
"'Killed'? What a disturbing thing to say. Am I the only one who harmed your parents? Didn't you butler... No, didn't you kill them again?" Angela said, referring to how Ciel ordered Sebastian to kill the leader.
"You were brilliant," Angela said, "I didn't expect you to stay sane in the face of that distorted past."
I decided it was a good time to finally confront Ciel about the assassination. "Ciel."
His eyes widened as if he only just registered my presence, but his brows soon furrowed.
"Why did you send the assassin to kill me?"
"I don't know what you are talking about."
I was expecting that response. "The one I mentioned at the polo match. I know you sent him."
"I don't know what led you to that conclusion, but I didn't send anyone to kill you."
I was starting to doubt. Did Ciel really not not send the assassin as he said? Or was he just trying to cover up by denying all claims?
Angela sighed and said to Ciel, "You are thoroughly sullied." She opened her wings and glided to land right in front of Ciel. "However, underneath the surface is a glow that would be a shame to waste. Shall I change your unsightly, impure past for you?" She grabbed Ciel's chin and enveloped the two of them with her wings, which blocked my sight of them
Ciel pushed her and backed out of the wings, "Stuff it! You are the one who sullied me!"
Angela extended a hand a put it on Ciel's head. Soon Ciel's eyes were closing and he collapsed. Angela caught him, carried him over to the sofa, and placed him on her lap. Ciel's chest started glowing with bright white light and cinematic records poured out of it. The records twisted around as if they were fighting themselves. Angela must be changing his cinematic record or memory.
Suddenly, the door to the library bursted open, revealing Sebastian, Grell, and Will.
"Young master!" Sebastian called out.
"His past is being rewritten." Angela said as she looked upon the unconscious boy with a gentle smile, "He is being purified, made clean and white as snow."
