She was quiet for a moment. "Things are..different, I'm still grounded"
"Did you sneak out?"
"Yes I have no other way."
Emma nodded "I used to sneak out a lot. I was good at it" she gave her a small smile "I really hope things get better for you"
"I hope.. But I they aren't for now"
"I'm sorry" Emma said quietly as she pulled up to her house
Violet hesitated for a moment to get up from the car, but pulled the door open. "Thank you for the ride" she said politly as she got up and reached her hand over to the noor to help herself letting out a small hiss and stoped moving for a while
"Are you alright?" Emma asked concerned looking at her
"Just bruised ny side earlier, still bit tender.." she said and took her backpack from the floor
"I know it wasn't you who did it..." Emma gently put her hand on her shoulder
"It was my fault"
"Violet, no matter what he tells you, or convinces you, really it isn't your fault. He has no right, no matter what, to lay a hand on you" emma said softly
"He's my father and he just has his own methods" that was something she had taught
Emma sighed "Regina and I wish we could help. He shouldn't hurt his daughter. I really do hope things get better Violet. You are always welcomed to come over"
"It's nice to hear that, but I really need to get going before he notices" she said and stands up, she thanked once more before run to the backyard to get to her room
Emma waited till she got inside before leaving and going back to the apartment. She got in and called Regina
Regina was reading a book and and pucked her phone up. "Hi"
"Hey" emma sighed "Violet's father is still hurting her. Apparently her side is bruised up"
Regina sat up and put her book down. "And what can we do about it?"
"Not much in this town"
"Argh, I can't just let this continue, what if just gets worse?"
"I suppose we can lock him up or charge him for child abuse but still, it won't solve the problem"
"It won't, she would just end up loosing her father too."
"I know. I just don't know what we can do"
"I would like to say few more things, but it wouldn't propably chance things, not much at least"
Emma just sighed
"I heard that she hasn't been in school ether"
"That's not good. Education is important"
"I know, I actually got a nessage from school, apartly I need to sort it out. They just push duties that aren't really in my job. But I guess it meens I need to go over" she let out a deep breath
Emma poured herself a drink and sat at the table sipping on it "do you want me to come with you?"
"Not at first, I don't want him to get scared if you know what I'm saying. Just stay close when I do"
"Ok." Emma downed the rest of her drink "call me tomorrow. Love you"
"Love you" she said and ended the call she let out a deep breath, why did it need to be so hard
Henry knocked on her bedroom door "mom?"
"Yes, come in" she said and sat on the edge of the bed
He came in "I heard you on the phone talking about Violet. Everything okay?"
"I hope so. I need to sort some things with her father tomorrow, she hasn't been in school right?"
"She hasn't" he sat down beside his mother "she has lots of bruises, she showed me" he looked at his feet
Regina put a hand around him. "Can you tell me where, how bad?" she just wanted to know how bad was it.
Henry sighed "her ribs, sides and her back" he said quietly
"Only bruises, no cuts?" she squeezed himer sons shoulder
"Just a couple..." he said even more quiet
Regina pulled him into a hug, now one deserve to go through this escpesially so young
Henry leaned into her getting caught up in his thoughts and worries about Violet
Regina rubbed his back. "We'll try to do something about it with Emma."
He nodded and let out a deep sigh before getting up
"We want her to be safe too." she said and got up to kiss his head "try to get some sleep"
"Ok. Night mom" he gave her a hug before going to his room
Regina closed the door behind him and walked back to her bed. She desided not yet to tell Emma how bad it was, so she could even try to sleep. But she would tell tomorrow
