Darren and I did have that date. It went well. So well that we have went on five dates so far.

I haven't told anyone except Alexia and Cole. Who also went on a double date with us!

Our third date was basically me using him as an extra hand moving into the apartment.

Right now I'm about to tell Derek and Jackson about Darren.

"Hey Rose!" Derek yelled as he entered the living room. Where I was folding our clothes.

"Hey."

Jackson walked in holding Jax.
"Look who missed you." He said setting down Jax.

"My baby!" I yelled as he ran towards me.

I picked him up and sat him on the couch and laughed.

"Alexia told us you needed out help." Derek said sitting next to me.

I nodded and laid down the pair of pants I was folding. "Yes. I do. I'm going out and I need help choosing an outfit. Also I need help cleaning before he gets here."  I said.

Jackson paused. "He? Going out? Rose..."

Derek laughed. But not a happy laugh. "You're going out?"

I nodded. "Yep with a guy named Darren. He is really nice. And he is coming by in half an hour."

"Are we going to be able to meet this Darren guy?" Jackson asked with a sneer.

"Of course! You guys are like my best friends. I want y'all to meet who I'm dating."  I saw Jackson wince.

Derek laughed.  "Dating? Nice."

I shook my head. "Actually can you two like pick up while I get ready?" Jackson nodded.

I went to my room and saw Alexia laying in bed with out covers. I went I there and pulled up the covers and saw her baby bump.

I smiled and went to my room.

I grabbed a shirt and shorts and brushed my hair. Did my makeup as good as I can.

I slipped on my sandals and my necklace.

I walked out of my room to see Derek sitting next to Darren as Jackson was on the porch smoking.

I walked in and saw Darren smile and Derek shake his head.

I went over to Darren and gave him a kiss on his cheek. "Give me a second." I whispered and went onto the porch.

Jackson saw me and smiled. "Cigarettes are bad for your health. I suggest you stop." He said mimicking my voice.

I laughed. "Nah. I'm nervous. This is the first time Darren and I are just hanging out casually."

He smiled and took out the cigarette and offer it to me. "Smoke?"

I shrugged. "One puff."
I grabbed it and threw it on the ground and grinned. "Oops."

He laughed. "You got me. But you got to pay for that." I shook my head.

He laughed and started ticking me. "Stop! Stop!" I laughed.

When he finally did we went inside and I sat close to Darren.

Derek scoffed and Jackson looked away.

"So baby, we going to hang out here or what?" He asked.

"Whatever you want." I said.

He nodded. "We could just order pizza and watch a movie." I smiled.

"You always chose a nice thing. I'll make popcorn."  I said getting up.

He groaned. "You don't have to get up."

I laughed. "Then how will I make popcorn?"

He laughed. "Whatever. I'll go through the channels and see what's on."

Derek lifted his hand. "I'm going to get beers!" He got up and left without saying bye.

Jackson pulled out his phone. "I'll get the pizza."

After we were all settled we began watching 'The Little Prince' on Netflix.

It was cute and Derek  and I were both tearing up at one point.

Darren and I were sharing a popcorn even though I really didn't want any. I had finished my two pizzas and was now drinking a cherry coke I kept in my fridge.

I shivered and Darren pulled me towards him. "You cold sweetheart?" I nodded and smiled. He wrapped his arms around me and pulled a blanket over us.

Derek looked at us. "You two better not be doing anything underneath there." He said sternly.

I blushed in embarrassment.

Jackson looked over at us with sad eyes.

I forgot how he felt towards me.... Wow.

I'm so inconsiderate. I invited them over to tell them about him. And now they are staying. I'll talk to him later.

After the movie I told Darren he could spend the night and I was walking the guys back to the truck.

Derek said a quick goodbye and got in.
I pulled Jackson behind the fence to talk. "Hey, I'm sorry about tonight, I forg-"

He stopped me. "No. Don't say you forgot that hurts worse. I get it. I wasn't good enough for you." He said sadly.

"That's not it. I just-"

He grabbed my waist and pulled me towards him. Then kissed me.

I pulled away. "Jackson!" I yelled slapping him.

"I deserved that. But I wanted to kiss you. Even if it was just once." He mumbled and walked back to the truck.

When I pulled her close I realized how soft her skin was. And her smell.... God. Her smell was the most amazing smell ever.

She smelt like Lavender and sleep.

But when I kissed her, it was magical.

You could taste the butter popcorn and cherry soda, on her soft lips.

I sighed and Derek looked at me. "Something wrong bro?"

I knew he loved her. But not as much as me. I shook my head. "No."

He kept looking at. "I know you like her. But she has him know. She also wants someone who is healthy and not smoking or drinking like us." He started pulling off and I watched her walk away.

Guess I can't have the girl that can change me.
