My door was open when I woke up. It still was dark outside, I could see a little bit of sun peaking out over Cole's house.

Then I heard the toilet flush.

"Who's there?!" I yelled. Please don't let anyone be here.

"You're awake." It's just Derek. He opened the bathroom door and washed his hands while looking at me through the mirror.

"Wow, thanks Captain Obvious! I would have never guessed."

He said nothing.

"Why are you in my room anyways when I'm asleep?"

He blushed. "Well, um... I came up here to wake you. But, I needed to use the bathroom. So that's what I did.
Sorry."

"Well, I'm awake. You did your job now get out."

He left shutting the door.
But not even a minute later the door opened again.

"I hope you weren't expecting to go out today. The town is kinda flooded. Just our luck, eh?"

"Seriously Derek, get out so I can get dressed. We can talk later. Please?"

He nodded and headed back down.

I let out a relieved sigh. It is way to early in the morning for this.

When I got down from the bunk I heard something, or more accurately a someone, fall down the stairs.

Then laughs. I guess there are people over.

As I got ready my phone beeped non stop. I just ignored it. But Minnie, every time the phone beeped she would jump and stare.

I laughed and picked Minnie up.

"Scared over little sounds. I guess you could say that you're a... Scaredy cat." I laughed.

I swear that Minnie gave me the most judgmental look a cat can give you.

I put Minnie down and went over to check my phone.

3 voicemails. Delete.

I looked out the window one more time. I wish I could stay here forever...

As I went down the stairs I saw feet propped up against the wall.

"Derek?"

"Yeah, what's up?"

I giggled. "May I ask why you are lying down on the stairs?"

He sat up and looked at me seriously. "Sally really needs to invest in some lights above the stairs."

"ROSE! BREAKFAST!" Sally called out.

"Comin'!" I grabbed Derek's hand and tried helping him up.

"I don't like falling down the stairs.
But I would fall in love with you any day." He slurred.

"I think you hit your head."

"And I can't help but be faaaaaallling in love with you!" He was yelling loudly.

"Shut up Derek! Em is asleep!"
Sounds like Cole.

"Vacuum cleaners are cool."

"What are you talking about?" Jackson appeared from the living room. He had his hands crossed, smiling at his brother.

"You know what else is cool?" He asked.

Jackson smiled at me and looked back at his brother. "What?"

"Ice. I think I need some."

"I think you need some too," he whispered to me "He had a little bit to drink before we came here. Girl drama." He winked at me and helped walk his brother towards the kitchen.

Explained why he fell down the stairs.

"ROSE! Hey!" Cole walked out from the kitchen.

"Haven't seen you since last night. It's not everyday I see a angel." He was smiling.

What is with the guys here? They are so weird?

"What the hell are you doing?" I asked.

"I don't know," he smiled "Just chatting."

"Okay then... It's early and I want coffee please don't talk to me until I'm fully awake. Thank you."

I walked past the way to chirpy morning person.

"Hey, Aunt Sal." I sat down at the table and laid my head down.

She chuckled. Everyone is so happy. They can't be humans!

"Not a morning person, I see. Here have some coffee."

I looked up, she was holding out a cup of coffee. I looked at her like she is the most amazingly beautiful person I've ever seen.

"Thank you, so so much." I started sipping the coffee and saw Derek with ice on his head.

"Hey, Derek." He looked up.

"Ice?"

"My head hurts. Got a little tipsy this morning. Not a good idea."

I nodded and kept sipping my coffee.

Jackson was next to him humming away.

"Why are you so happy?"

"It's a beautiful day." He looked at me and smiled. "It's not everyday I get-"

"Already told her that one. Not a morning person and doesn't take pickup lines." Cole said as he brought two plates with him to the kitchen.

"Thank you." Aunt Sally said as she started hand washing the dishes.

"Thanks for the breakfasts. Emily would've been mad if I didn't have breakfast for her. Glad you can cook." He sat next to me and looked at Derek and grinned.

"Grace?" He asked.

Derek nodded and Jackson laughed.

"Again? I thought you said you would work that out?"

Derek nodded and Jackson laughed.

"Didn't happen?"

Derek shook his head and Jackson did the same.

"Derek. As your brother, I'm saying this as nicely as I can, forget about the bítch. She keeps hurting you." Jackson said putting his hand on his back.

"Ugh" Derek groaned and sat his chin on the table.

"I would say drink. But one you are still underage and you already drunk. So, that's out of the question." Cole sat back in his chair.

Sally waked over to us shaking her head. "Well you can't go into town because it's flooded. So you all are staying here. Emily and I are going to be in the office watching Lilo and Stitch. So hang out. Do something. I don't care just be careful and don't break anything."
She went to the living room and walked back out and headed to the office.

Little Emily was holding her teddy bear and followed close behind.

"Looks like we are going to be hanging out together. This should be fun." I said looking at the three guys. One drunk, one flirty, and one who is really cute.

And I'm the only girl. Yay!

Sarcasm. My best quality.
