We were all piled up in Cole's truck.

Emily called shotgun, so I was sandwiched between Derek and Jackson.

Emily was saying really cute jokes that got in Coles nerves, but he kept his calm.

Derek was laughing and smiling at all of them. "Hey Em."

She turned around. "Yeah?"

"Why do flamingos sleep with one leg up?"
Jackson groaned. "Not again please."

Derek ignored him and went on with his joke.
"Why?" Emily asked. I was so curious were this joke was heading.

"Because if they sleep with both legs up they would fall over." He started cracking up at his own joke.

Emily and I are the only ones who laugh. Cole and Jackson groaned.

"Tell another one!" Emily demanded now fully turned around to face him.

"Okay. What is the difference between a tuna, a piano and a pot of glue?" Emily shrugged and asked, "what?"

He was already laughing. "You can tune a piano, but you can't piano a tuna."

"What about the glue?" I asked.

He smiled at me, "I knew you were going to get stuck on that."

Emily snickered and I was basically in tears. "Another one!" She yelled. I was laughing to hard to even speak.

Jackson was looking at me like I was crazy. And Cole just shook his head.

"Pete and Repeat are sitting on the fence. If Pete falls of who's still there?" Clever I thought.

Emily didn't catch on at first. "Repeat."

"If Pete and Repeat are sitting on the fence. If Pete falls of who's still there?"

Emily looked at him. Now knowing what he was up to. "Repeat!"

I was laughing. And Jackson joined in with me. Derek did the joke several times before Emily gave up.

"You would make a great dad. With all those dad jokes." I said not thinking. I blushed.

Derek just laughed. "Yeah I would."

Emily stopped paying attention to us, and started singing along to the radio. She stared out the window and sung quietly. It was like she was in a totally different world.

"I'm pretty sure Alexia is going to be there." Cole said from the front.

"Who's that?"

"One of our friends. You'll like her." Derek answered.

Jackson leaned towards me. "Her nickname in Karma." Cole chuckled from the front.

"Why?"

"Because when we were younger we had this joke 'if someone did something wrong she'll beat the shit outta them.' Just like karma." Cole said. He talked like he was talking about something he loves.

"And she can be a bitch." Jackson laughed out.

"Just like karma." Derek finished.

"Sounds wonderful." I said.

"Don't worry. She really is amazing." Cole reassured me.

"Cole has had a crush on her since elementary." Derek said loudly, obviously so Cole could hear everything he said.

"I do not!"

We laughed and he mumbled some words that I couldn't hear.

"Sure. Anyways it looks like we are here." Jackson says waiting for the truck slowing to stop before jumping out of the truck.

"Come on." Jackson handed his hand to help me out.
Once I was out he helped Emily out who was still kinda out of it.

I followed them into this cute little ice cream shop. Everything in this place was cute. If you looked down the road you could see the ocean. The square itself was even nicer.

The road we were on there was at least 6 shops. Across the street, which Jackson told me was were the other guys worked, was a mechanic store/ gas station. There was a cute shop beside the ice cream shop which was Sally's obviously. It had her name on the sign.

"That is were Alexia works at. She said she was going to meet us up here." Cole said going inside the ice cream shop.

There was no one there except us and the register guy. Or register girl is the accurate name I guess.

"This is Vince's big sis. Rebecca." The girl behind the counter smiled and waved at us.

She was short and pretty. She had short , dark brown hair. As we got closer I could see little freckles underneath her wide emerald eyes.

"Hi. You must be new around here." I nodded.

"Well my name is Rebecca. And telling by the people you are hanging with I can tell you have terrible judgement."

"Hey! What does that mean?" Cole and Jackson asked at the same time.

Emily giggled and ran behind the counter to give her a hug. "Awe Emily, did you miss me?"

"Yes! I had to stay with Cole most days. But I did go to Sally's. And I met Rose! Isn't she pretty like a Rose?" Rebecca laughed.

"Rose is Sally's niece. She is staying here for the summer." Derek explained.

I just stood there and smiled.

"You must be Rose." A girls voice said from behind us.

I turned around and nodded. But before someone spoke I got hugged.

"Finally another girl. It's been forever." She said.

"Alexia, don't scare her." Rebecca said walking out from behind the counter with Emily on her hip.

The girl who hugged me, Alexia, looked just like my mother.

Except she had blonde hair and dark blue eyes. But other than that she had the same facial structure of my mom.

Alexia let go and took a step back and looked at me.

"Yep. Definitely Sally's niece." She said giggling.

"Hi." I said. I don't know why, she already hugged me.

She smiled "Hi. My name is Alexia, it's a pleasure to meet you." She was so happy. "I already know your name. Rose. Cole has texted me about you. He didn't tell me you were this pretty. But, I'm sure he thinks you are quite cute." She whispered the last part and smirked.

"What?" Cole said.

"Nothing!" She chirped and enemy and gave Emily a hug.

"Are we just going to sit here and talk or buy ice cream?" Jackson asked.
