Chapter 35-Summer Night

When I walked back to the apartment I saw my light come on and I giggled.

When I walked inside I locked the door and turned off the living room and kitchen lights.

Jax was sleeping in the hallway with his dog bed.

I peeked into Alexia's room and saw Netflix open and playing on her laptop as she was curled up against her pillow.

I stopped at my door and stood there.

I saw the light go off and heard shuffling.

"Damnit." I heard Darren hit something then mumble.

I giggled.

"Rose?" He called out.

I opened the door and walked over to where my lamp should have been.

He groaned and laid back. His curly blond hair was messy.

I went to lay down but he got up and pulled me away from the bed.

"What are you doing?" I asked giggling.

"Can I dance with you?" He asked. He looked down with his big brown eyes and grabbed my hand.

I nodded and I went to turn on my radio.

"No music. Just us." He mumbled and put his head in the corner of my neck.

"Are you sleepy?" I raised my hand and ran my fingers through his hair.

He nodded. "Then why don't we go laid down?"
I lead him over to the bed.

I laid down and giggled as I saw him have trouble lifting up the sheets.

I helped him and he slammed his head against the pillow and closed his eyes.

When I closed my eyes I felt him grab my waist and pull me towards him.

I held in a laugh as he snuggled against me.

I couldn't turn over so I just stared at his face.

"Like what you see?"

I grinned. "Nah, I think I've seen better."

He opened his eyes and frowned at me. "Awe. That hurts." I laughed.

"Go to sleep."

He huffed and kissed my nose. "I will when you say I'm the most handsomest man you have ever met"

"I'm the most handsomest man you have ever met."

He chuckled. "I see what you did there. I walked right into that."

I kissed him and rested my head on his arm.

When I woke up I was trapped between his arms.

It was early in the morning and the sun hasn't came up yet.

I didn't want to wake Darren so I carefully moved his arm.

When I got up, I lightly kissed his forehead and pulled up the comforter so it looked neat.

As I was walking down the hallway I started hearing music.

When I went into the kitchen I saw Alexia, with her radio playing, cooking breakfast.

She turned around and saw me and gave me a hug.

"Good morning. It's 6. Didn't think you would wake up." She laughed and stirred her eggs.

"I'll make coffee." I said getting the coffee pot and opening the blinds.

"So did hunky stay the night?" Alexia asked raising an eyebrow.

"Hunky?" I laughed.

She nodded and went back to her food. "Yeah. He is a hunk. How the date go?"

I started the coffee and sat on the counter. "It went well. Jackson and Derek was over."

"That is way Jax is here." She said and waved her wooden spoon.

I got off the counter and went to go fill up his food and water bowl.

When I came back in she was giggling. "You are acting like he is your baby."

"He is." I said giggling.

I went back to the coffee pot and stood and stared at it.

As the coffee was done I felt arms wrap around me and pull me into a chest.

"Mmmh, babe?." Darren said sleepy and cuddled up against me.

"Yeah." I started pulling out coffee mugs.

"Can you come back to bed?" His New York accent slipping out.

"But sweetie, it's early."

He groaned.

Alexia giggled and walked out of the kitchen.

He turned me around and kissed me.
I laughed into the kiss and he pulled away.

"What?"

I smiled up at him. "I can feel your stubble." I scratched at his soon to be beard.

"Is that a bad thing, Hun?"

I shook my head and gave him a quick kiss and pulled out of his grasp and went back to getting the coffee.

"You know ever since I met you, all my summer nights have been filled with the thought of you."

I awed. "But summer is soon ending."

He pouted and gave me a hug. "Then all the rest of the nights will be filled with the thought of you."

As he talked I thought about Jackson.

I felt guilty. I should probably tell Darren but it wasn't my fault.
Jackson was the one who kissed me.
But then Darren and him wouldn't get along.

But I know one thing for sure, I'm telling Alexia.
