Chapter 28- Feelings

Jax  and Minnie loved each other. It was adorable.
Sally also loved him. Everything was great.

Except my feelings. After the kiss Jackson and I shared, my feelings grew towards him.

But, after the party. I felt like I had stronger feelings for him.

It started driving me mad. I even talked to Jax about it. Sally was away again and this time I was aloud to stay at the house.

Kylie divorced Mason after he had slapped her, and she yelled at him that she was pregnant. Vince was there. And he almost killed Mason.

Alexia and her started hanging out more, just to talk about babies.

Cole has been keeping an eye on her. Making sure she doesn't smoke. Her ex also hooked up with a lady at the cafe Kylie and I went to.

Rebecca was still away. Sending her love through texts.

And the brothers. They both are doing great. It's a weird feeling. Liking someone that might have the same feelings.
Might. It's a bittersweet word. It's like almost. Almost and might.

I had woken up early to get a jump start on the day. I was planning spending the day alone, just to have my thoughts all to myself.

I was in some flannel pjs. Almost the most comfortable pjs I have ever had. It was just a button up long sleeve and a draw string pants.

I brushed my hair and my teeth. Not even bothering with my makeup.

The house was freezing, like always. And my bare feet touching the carpet on the stairs was memorable.

Jax hopped down the stairs with me.

As I made it to the kitchen I saw a note on the coffee pot.

I looked down at Jax and started reading it. "Dear my dearest Rose,
I have already started making you coffee. Everything around the house is done. So do not worry about cleaning. Just relax." I read in my best Sally accent.

I grabbed a mug and filled it with, of course, coffee.

I went to Jax and Minnie's food bowls and they were already full.

"Okay then. I'm going to the living room." As I walked into the living room Minnie jumped out from behind a cabinet.

I giggled and grabbed a blanket, curling up against the couch.

I pulled out my phone and went to watch YouTube.

"Haven't done this in awhile." I whispered as a clicked a 'Good Mythical Morning' video.

Jax struggled getting up onto the couch but finally made it and sat beside me.

I petted him as I watched the video. After that was over I went to watch all my other favorite channels.

After doing nothing all day I decide to make an early dinner.

I am not an expert chef. And everyone makes fun of me not knowing how to cook. But I do know how to cook, I just don't like microwaveable stuff...

I searched for easy recipes to do when I got a call.

I answered it not bothering looking at the contact name.

"Hello~" I spoke when I answered.

"Yo Rose! It's Cole. We order pizza, you should come over." As he talked I heard loud music in the background.

"What is going on in the back?" I asked sitting up.

"Guess you will have to find out. And also bring Jax I want to meet the little guy." He had to tell the music was so loud.

"I'm in my pjs. I'm not coming over." I made an excuse for my laziness.

"Who cares? It's just the guys and me. Come on! We are having a movie night!" In the back I could here Derek talking, more like arguing, about what movie.

"Okay. I'll be there in a bit." I said getting up and slipping into my converse.

"Great! Also do t forget to feed Minnie before you leave and don't worry about Jax's food I have some." He yelled before hanging up.

Jax had his head tilted up and looks at me.

I walked to the table with his leash on it and put it on him. He wiggled and tried getting away but once it was on he relaxed.

I went and gave Minnie a small pat on her head before filling up her bowl.

"We'll be back soon. Don't miss us too much." I said to her.

As I walked onto the porch the summer night air gave me the chills.

Jax happily ran around, fortunately the leash kept him close.

The streetlights glowed a warm color of light. It was peaceful.
No cars. No people. Just Jax and I walking in the middle of the street.

The sun had mostly set by now, just a peak of pink and orange on the horizon.

As we got closer to Coles house the sun had gone down. And fireflies lit up his yard.

"Rose! You came." Someone said from his porch.

The person got up and walked into the light. Jackson.

"Yeah. Had nothing better to do." I said nervously looking down at my pjs.

"Nice outfit." He said laughing.

"Yeah, Cole told me it was fine." I said picking up Jax.

He nodded and walked closer. "And who might this adorable thing be?" He said leaning toward Jax.

Jax wiggled in excitement.
"This is Jax. So far he has been my baby." I said laughing.

Jackson smiled.

A few seconds went by. "What?" I said.

He kept smiling. "What do you mean?"

I shrugged slightly moving my legs around. "Why are you smiling at me?"

He shrugged too. "Because I don't get to see a pretty girl in the moon light. Even when I do they aren't as adorable as you." He said.

I blushed. "I'm neither of those things."

"Yes you are. This is you, no makeup and in pajamas. In the moonlight surrounded by lightning bugs. With a puppy in your arms." He was close.

I looked at the house. I guess he could sense my awkwardness and have a slight 'Ahem.'

"Let's go inside."
