When we got inside I saw Cole slapping Derek upside the head. "We are watching Nemo! Not some stupid movie called the pacifier!" He yelled.

Jackson laughed. "They have been like this forever. I was in it at one time. I wanted to watch like Teen beach movie."

I gave him a strange look. "Fighting over Disney movies? I thought y'all were adults." He chuckled.

"Nope! We are kids at heart. Beer?" He said handing me a beer can.

"That sentence does not go together just so you know." I said taking a sip and handing it back to him.

"Oh well. I'm going to smoke and wait this thing out. Want to come?" He picked up a box of cigarettes.

I nodded and sat down Jax and he ran straight to Derek and jumped all over him. Derek stopped a arguing  for a second to pick up Jax and went back arguing.

As we got outside he lit a cigarette and patted the seat next to him for me to sit.

As I sat smoke filled the air and I felt like gagging.

As he smoked I just sat there in silence.

His knee was bouncing up and down and it was frustrating me.

I put my hand on his knee. I laughed, "why are you so jittery?"

He frowned. "I-I... It's nothing."

He smiled. "You are into music right?"

I nodded. "Okay then tell me your favorite song."

I looked at him. "I love music. You can not just simply ask me what my favorite song is." He laughed.

"Then tell me your favorite song part."

I didn't know what he meant. "I have no idea what that means but I'm taking a guess. My two favorite parts of a song is the intro to Young by Fun and Trouble by nevershoutnever."

"Isn't that 'I'm in trouble I'm an addict I'm a addicted to this girl. She has my heart tied in a knot and my stomach in whirl." He asked. I nodded.

"I will stop what I'm doing and sing that part even though I sound like a dying Walrus." I laughed.

"I don't know the other song can you sing it for me?" He asked.

"I literally just said I sound like a dying walrus."

He chuckled. "Oh come on. Please."

"Fine." I faked a dramatic cough. He laughed. "Don't laugh at the professional boy." I said in a fake accent.

"Okay. 'Give me a second I need to get my story straight. My friends are in the bathroom getting higher than the Empire State. My love is sitting across the bar. My seat has been taken by some sunglasses asking about a cigar." I stopped there and laughed. "See I'm terrible. "

He laughed. "No that was beautiful."

I smiled. He puffed on his cigarette.

"You know those things are bad for you." I said.

He laughed and blew out smoke. "Yeah sweetheart, so?"

I grabbed the cigarette and put in my mouth. I gave it a puff and coughed and tried again.

I looked at him and he shook his head and put his arm around me.

He pulled me close and took the cigarette did one last puff and threw it into the yard. "Darling, don't you go killing your lungs for me." He said.

The way he said darling gave me shivers.

He leaned over and I could feel his warm breathe on my neck. "Rose, I know you might not feel the same way. But, I-I love you." He whispered.

My breath hitched. "I.. Um." We sat there me tripping over my words and Jackson getting discouraged.

After a few minutes Cole came out with two beer cans. "We chose a movie! Get your asses inside and grabbed a beer." He yelled and went back inside.

"He's drunk isn't he?" I asked laughing.

Jackson laughed and nodded. "Defiantly."
