Chapter 28

Dylan's POV




We were standing in front of the Alpha of the Gold Stone Pack. Sage and I bowed our heads.

He was nice, he let us in immediately, he knows my pack very well. He respects us, too. The Gold Stone Pack is a lot like the Silver Twilight. We're gentle towards people in our packs or allies, but are ferocious to outsiders.

That's probably how Vanessa can tell who's pack Sage was from. She was reserved, but calmed when she realized that my sister wasn't a threat to her.

I chuckled in my head. Thinking of her as a threat amused me since she was so sweet.





Suddenly, I heard a soft knock on the door. The three of us turned our heads.

The Alpha, who's name is Nate, answered. "Come in."

A girl walked in quietly, she probably didn't know the reason why she was called to the Alpha's office. I could see the resemblance in her and Sage. She had a lighter color in hair, her skin complexion was the same. They both had full pink lips. She looked seventeen at the most.

Her mouth broke into a smile.

"Sage!"

"Ariana!"

They hugged each other tightly.

"Where were you? What happened?"
She looked over at me. "Is that your mate?!"

Sage answered in order. "I was in the woods, I got attacked by rogues, and yes. This is Dylan."

She hugged me as well.

"It's so nice to meet you! And thank you so much for saving my sister."

She had a sweet personality, she reminded me of Vanessa.

"It's my job to keep Sage happy and safe. It's nice to meet you too."

Then she calmed a little, realizing that her Alpha was still in the room. She bowed.

"Alpha."

He nodded in approval.

"Ariana, I've called you up here because Sage is moving with Dylan into the Silver Twilight Pack."

Her face showed pain.

"But, what about me?"

Nate grinned and responded.

"If you wish, you will go with them. You don't think Sage would leave you behind do you?"

Now she looked relieved.

"Of course I'll go with you guys! Alpha you don't mind us leaving right?"

"No, I don't want to tear apart siblings and mates. Family is family. Who knows, maybe you'll find your mate there."

She beamed and nodded.

"Thank you."











Derek's POV






Jack and Vanessa were upstairs.

It took a only a few minutes for me to realize that they were completing the mating process.

The heat made her finally give in. She got Jack and they went to do what they needed to do. It pained me to know this, my wolf formed a bond with hers without them knowing it. After do many years of being close to each other, it just naturally came.

But after they finish, the little bond will
be broken. And my feelings for her will fade. Theirs will be as strong as ever.
