Chapter 32

Vanessa's POV







When I woke up this morning, I felt these sudden pains. It wasn't heat, I had that already.

I just sat in my bed thinking, what was it?






The big slumber party was a couple days ago, and that night the guys came back looking as tired as we were.

Jack was laying next to me, looking peaceful and adorable. I smiled, but the pain crept upon me again. I winced, then felt nauseous.

I ran up and into the bathroom, I started throwing up and Jack was behind me holding back my hair.

How did he get up so fast?

He kissed my back, then asked,"Are you okay baby?"

"Yeah I'm fine. I guess these past few days have been getting my body tired out."

"I guess so. You can lay in bed and I'll make you some soup ok?"

"Thank you."

He smiled and kissed my forehead. I heard his footsteps go down the stairs and I brushed my teeth.






I didn't feel sick, I'm still trying to figure this out since being worn out shouldn't really cause me to throw up.


I was in bed eating Ramen, with Jack at my side. We watched a few movies and talked. I loved that we were a laid back couple and we weren't all physical. I mean we make out and the heat hasn't been the first time we made love.

It was perfect, he was perfect and I couldn't imagine anyone else taking his place.

I didn't want to.

Jack stood upright,"Babe I really don't want to leave you but Derek is calling me on a last minute border watch."

"Oh, it's ok I'll be fine. Go do what you need to do."

He groaned. "I'd rather be here."

I playfully slapped his chest. "Alpha's orders I don't think you have a choice."

He smirked and pulled on a shirt. He kissed me and left outside.





I mind linked Sage and Ariana to see if they could keep me company.

'Hey guys come up? Jack left on a border watch.'

'Yeah Ariana and I will be up. Dylan left to do that too.'

'Great see you in a minute.'







The girls walked in without knocking, typical bestfriends.

Sage greeted me. "Hey, you don't look so good."

"Yeah I was nauseous this morning, Jack made me some soup but I don't think I'm sick."



Ariana's face was twisted in confusion and stared at my stomach.

I chuckled at her actions.

"You okay there?"

"I don't know are you?"

"What do you mean?"

"I sense something in your stomach."

"What the hell."

"Sage listen to her stomach!"

"I don't want to do that! You don't just go up listening to people's stomachs."

"Please just do it."



Sage sighed in defeat and walked up. "You don't mind right?

"I guess not."

She put her ear to my stomach and stood up straight.

"Mother-"

"I told you! There's something in there!"

"Guys! What's in my stomach?"





The two glance at each other uneasily.
Then they answered at the same time.

















"A heartbeat."
