Chapter Fifteen: A Letter Home
Colette's Point Of View
A month had passed since the incident with Harry and his epic fall. He's still as annoyed about his broom and things haven't been going well for the poor kid. It's not been too great for any of us really. We're all bored out our minds and Hermione still going on about the essay she wrote for Snape. Apparently it was a waste of ink, three hours lost of studying and a pure annoyance to her. It was funny for a little while, seeing her so annoyed over an essay but now, it's just something else on top. The trio, the twins and I were hanging around in the common room. I was still trying to finish my book from the day Fred went wappy for a bit and the rest were sat looking around like they were waiting for something. It was late on a Thursday night, it was beginning to snow and McGonagall had just walked in, pinned something to the board and walked out again. We all got up and crowded around the board, "It's a list." George said,
"Well observed." I said sarcastically,
"Not just any list. The 'Who's going to be staying for Chrismas' list." Harry corrected,
"Still a list." George grunted and I laughed quietly to myself,
"Who's gonna stay then?" Lee asked. Whoa, where'd he come from?
"I dunno. Suppose our parents will write and tell us soon." Hermione said, picking up her bag and walking off into her dorm,
"Well, I'm staying." Harry mumbled, following Ron who walked into their dorms.
"Night guys." I scoffed sarcastically and walked back over to the couch, plopping down and folded my legs. I picked up my book again and expected Fred, George and Lee to sit down beside me. When they didn't, I turned around and they were still looking at that list,
"Guys?" They all turned and looked at me, "What on earth are you doing?"
"Waiting for it to change." Fred said with a grin. I rolled my eyes and went back to my book. They still didn't sit down for about another 3 minutes. Once they did, they were in deep conversation with each other but it was like a whisper conversation. Without looking up, I asked them what they were talking about,
"Nothing." Lee said and smiled. He ran off up the stairs shouting night as he left the common room,
"Alright." I said, shutting the book but still not looking up, "What's the story?"
"It's Hogsmeade this weekend." Fred said,
"Go on..."
"And we're all going, right?" George continued,
"Correct..."
"So we were wondering..."
"If you wanted us to show you around." George finished with a smile. I sighed and re-opened the book,
"By that you mean, 'Hey Lottie! we're going to Hogsmeade and you're coming with us. You have no choice in the matter so I don't know why we're bothering to ask!' Yes, Am I right?" I asked, looking up and raising eyebrows,
"She's learning." George said,
"So she is." Fred agreed,
"Is there any particular reason we're discussing this right now while I'm trying to read this?" I asked,
