Chapter Twenty Nine: What Have You Got To Do With Anything?

Colette's Point Of View

Hermione screamed. Ron almost lost all control of Scabbers. Harry and Alex shared the same shocked and bemused expression. As for me, I was in a rage, "PUT THAT WAND DOWN!" I screamed at Snape and his gaze flashed my way,

"Ahh Colette." He sneered, "I knew you would be here. You medal with everything with those Weasleys twins and you couldn't resist butting in here, eh?"

"No!" I shouted back, "But you wanna point your wand somewhere else before I shove it up your arse!"

"Now Colette," Lupin said and held a hand. I was stood about a foot behind him and glaring at Snape, "Calm. And Severus-"

"You must be wondering how I got here," Snape began, throwing the cloak to the side and keeping his wand pointed at Lupin, "Very useful cloak Potter. Be sure not to drop it next time."

"Will do." Harry answered in a dark voice,

"I happened to be bringing your potion tonight Lupin when I found that map. The one you all created. One glance and it told me everything,"

"I told you," I started, "You should've wiped it, otherwise anyone could read it!" I said putting my hands on my hips and Harry snorted a little,

"SHUT UP GIRL!" Snape started and I stepped back a few inches,

"Don't you dare talk to her like that!" Lupin barked at Snape,

"I told the headmaster time and time again," Snape continued, ignoring Lupin's red face and griding teeth, "That he should not have given you the job. I knew you were helping him, and here you are. In your old hideout. I couldn't dream of why you would chose to use such an obvious place."

"You're making a mistake Severus." Lupin started, "No one has been helping Sirius!"

"Two more in Azkaban tonight," Snape sneered at Lupin and I squeaked, lip wobbling slightly. He wouldn't take Lupin away from me. Not if it's true. Not so soon. Please tell me he won't. "I'm sure Dumbledore will be interested to hear about this. Lying to someone who was supposed to be his friend. And a tame werewolf!"

"You idiot," Lupin said and shook his head, "Are you really going to let a school day grudge get in the way of your adult life?" Snape's face went red and in a flash, cords burst out of Snape's wand and went to wrap themselves around Lupin's mouth, ankles and wrists. I screamed as they pulled him over and I spun around, my back to Snape and Lupin. I heard Lupin crash to the floor and Snape laughed. Sirius grabbed my sides and picked me up slightly, half guiding and half throwing me over to the side and Alex pulled on my sleeve as Sirius leapt for Snape. His wand then shot from Lupin to Sirius and he jabbed it between his eyes,

"Give me a reason." He whispered in a dark voice, "Give me a good reason, and I swear I'll do it!" He sneered and it was impossible to tell which face had the most hatred painted upon it. I felt the tears started to appear in my eyes and Alex shook her head slowly. I took a sharp intake of breath and stood up slowly. Stepping towards Snape, my hands rolled together into fists, pulled my sleeves up and I looked right at him,

"Put the wand down, Snape." I said in a dark tone. Snape shot his gaze to me. His face twisted and he grabbed Sirius' shirt, flicking his wand from the bridge of Sirius' nose and aimed to the bridge of mine. I gasped a little and held my breath. Lupin was desperately trying to fight the cords grasp and was making muffed noises of distress. I looked from him to Sirius, whose face was completely white. His eyes were a little wide and I whimpered,
