Chapter Twenty Three: Lottie. Being Shocked At Everything Since Today.
Colette's Point Of View.
Into the fifth day of January and everyone has returned now. Alex has now met everyone in Gryffindor that is relevant to her and they all seem to like her and didn't really question her presence. Which is always a bonus because you don't have to explain the same thing over and over again and get all fed up because you're sick of your own voice. Except for Draco. We had to explain for Draco. Wait a minute. No, Alex explained to Draco. I kind of walked passed him with the twins. Well, with George. Fred stood beside her looking all protective. It was quite funny to see, considering she's probably about 6 inches shorter than him. Alex's explanation for talking to him was that she was his cousin. Apparently her mum, whose name is something along the lines of 'Andromeda' I believe, and his are sisters. That got me all confused and Fred continued to laugh at me as I got Alex to explain it three times. She also told me that her sister is called Nymphadora and likes being referred to as Tonks because she hates that name. George then humorously remarked that they were so alike as Alex was Alexandra. She then shouted at him for a few minutes until he apologised for calling her by her full name. It was one of those 'You had to be there' moments. Really. And yet again sidetracked. Back to tonight. George and I smirked at each other as we watched Fred and Alex across the table in some discussion about the better Quidditch team when Oliver came along and sat with us,
"Hey Colette." He said. I raised my eyebrows but didn't really acknowledge him besides that and then he looked at Harry, "Have a good Christmas?" He asked and gave no one time to answer before pulling the team in and lowering his voice. I poked my head in between Fred and George as Alex lent on Fred's shoulder and we listened in, "I've got some new tactics for this season. We should be able to pull back from Harry's accident but we need to keep practising if that's possible. Harry, did you get a new broom?"
"Yeah I got a Firebolt but--"
"A what?!" Wood exclaimed loudly, spitting at everyone. I sarcastically wiped my eye as did Alex and the twins,
"A Firebolt." I repeated, "Get your ears washed."
"A F-F-Firebolt? A real f-Firebolt?" Oliver questioned again,
"Yes." Alex said, "But what he's trying to say is that you shouldn't get too excited because Hermione and McGonagall think it's cursed and he hasn't got it back yet!" She said, voice complete full of that droning tone like she didn't want to be talking but feel the need to. I nodded to her and she nodded back,
"You are?" Oliver asked with them slightly wide eyes and the look that spoke loudly to you,
"Alex. And you're Wood. Oliver, isn't it?" She answered and folded her arms. He looked extremely taken-back when she said his name but it was soon replaced with the same look as before,
"I don't believe we've had the pleasure." He said, smiling brightly and holding out his hand,
"No we haven't." She said sarcastically and shook his hand once before letting go, "I've only just got here."
"Oh. Right, alright then." Oliver said, looking like he was trying to being it back together, "So a real Firebolt?"
"Yes Oliver! Now stop it about the Firebolt! McGonagall said it might be back within a fortnight but she doesn't know if it'll be here for the match!" I snapped at him and huffed loudly when he looked at me sharply. George nudged my shoulder and I looked at him. He looked at me strange and I shook my head,
