Chapter Seventeen: Hogsmeade And Its Tiny Twist

Colette's Point Of View

Seeing how happy Fred and George were just to be going to a shop was quite interesting. They basically skipped through the snow into the village and we spent what felt like days in Zonko's. Fred and George seemed to know the shop like it was the back of their hands. And after the tour of Zonko's, they decided to drag me down the path, passing all the little shops including one with a sign to Madam Puddifoot's tea shop and one with Gladrags Wizardwear. The twins kept walking past these and took me into the sweet smelling cocoon of Honeydukes. There was crowds of students all trying to find their favourites sweets and treats, with people fighting to get to the cash register first and others dropping things, all going mad for the amount of candy available. It was magic and one complete heaven for me. Fred, George and I dodged the people, grabbed some strange sweets and paid the old women behind the till, getting out of the shop ten minutes later in one piece and with less money. The wind was now much more bitter and it howled in my ears as I tugged my Gryffindor scarf tighter around my neck and pulled the hood on my jacket up, "Where now?" I asked, teeth chattering slightly and my hands starting to shake. I wasn't really bothered on where. As long as it was warm,

"I think we should go to the Three Broomsticks!" George grinned,

"I agree, George!" Fred replied happily and we then battled against the wind to reach the Three Broomsticks. I got too cold after a while and was looking about for ways to keep warm and keep walking as well. And being the clever witch I am, I slowed down until Fred and George were a little in front and then walked behind walked behind them. They kept walking on for a while when George stopped and looked around, I assume for where I'd gone since I was next to him and now I'd hidden behind him,

"Don't move apart guys! You were doing fine!" I shouted over the wind whilst George gave me a look and Fred stopped as well. They started to protest a little as they were basically taking on the wind whilst I hid behind them. And because I'm me, I won them over and continued to walk behind them. We finally reached the door and as I stepped in, it was like a fire being reignited inside me. Fred went straight up the the bar to get butterbeers leaving George and I to find a table among the mass of students. One opened up right by the window, so I rushed to sit down at it. George caught up with me after almost being bowled over and sat next to me. He looked flushed and I laughed, "My little soldier aren't you?"

"More so than you. It was only some wind." He smirked and lent on the table. After that, we were sat in silence and it became a bit weird considering both me and George could always find something to talk about. So that was pretty awkward. And with no other action going on inside the pub, I decided to look outside. The snow made the village look like one you would see on a calendar or a postcard. More so a calendar but you never know. If you ever find a snowy postcard, call me. I watched as a snowflake landed on the window and slowly melted by the heat coming through the window. I turned back once it was melted to see Fred smiling as he carried the butterbeers to us,

"What made you so happy?" I enquired,

"Just ran into Harry and it seems as though he got here. He seemed a bit edgy though but who knows. Oh, and I see Lee too. Probably going to end up pranking the Slytherins tomorrow morning, okay?"

"Great." I said sarcastically as Fred sat down and passed me one of the mugs, "And you dragged me into it too."

"Yeah. Hope you don't mind." Fred grinned as George bumped my shoulder,
