Chapter Twenty Seven: Colette's Life On A Whole New Level

Colette's Point Of View

I stood there nervously as Lupin asked me to follow him. I nodded my head and followed him trying to hide the worry from my eyes. He didn't seem to notice and merely lead me to the Dark Arts classroom and through the room and into his office. I stood there even more nervous than before. What does he want? He dragged out another chair and put it next to the one on the side of the desk which was nearest to the door. I took a few cautious steps forward as he smiled and told me to sit. I half smiled as I sat down and scanned the room. It was exactly the same except for the large piece of parchment on his desk. Wait a second. That's the Marauders Map! I tried not to stare at it as I sat down and tore my gaze away, looking up at Lupin,

"Want some tea?" He asked and I nodded a little. With a wave of his wand, one pink and one yellow mug of tea appeared on the desk and he handed me the pink one. I smiled at him as he sat down and took the yellow one. It was quiet for a little bit as we just sat sipping the tea. Lupin then put his mug back onto the desk and lent on his knees. I gripped my mug and looked at him, "Colette. I think it's high time that people around here stopped lying to you." He said seriously. I frowned a little,

"What?" I asked and Lupin sighed,

"Listen Colette."

"I told you. Call me Lottie. It's fine." I told him and he shook his head,

"I shouldn't. You were born Colette and that is what I shall call you." He said,

"Whaaaaaat?" I said and didn't realise how rude that was until afterwards, "Sorry. I mean, I beg your pardon?" I said and hoped Lupin wasn't offended. Instead he just laughed,

"Just like your father." He said and shook his head with a smile. I gave him a confused look and pointed at him,

"You did know him." I stated and Lupin nodded,

"'Course I know him. I know him like the back of my hand. I still do." He said,

"What?" I said again and went to apologise but Lupin beat me to speaking,

"It's not knew Colette. It's know." He said with a slight twinkle in his eye. I just stared at him for a few seconds until parts became clear,

"You mean..." I started and then gave it more thought, "You mean you know him. Like now. You know who my father is. You mean know as in present. Not knew as in past. You mean that I could probably have a conversation with him right now. He's not in isolation with no home and no friends."

"Eh..." Lupin said and shook a hand in a see-saw motion, "Sort of like that I suppose. If you understand it like that then I suppose that's right. You confused me but you seem to understand it. So I suppose that's a good thing." He smiled and I grinned, fist pumping the air,

"So do you know where he is? Can I talk to him? I have a bone to pick with him. I'll throttle the crafty little bugger! Why hasn't he been in contact? Ahh, excited!" I squealed and clapped my hands,

"Whoa, whoa, whoa Colette." He said, holding a hand out and I stopped clapping but still grinned. "It's not that simple. First you need to keep calm. I'm not done speaking yet." He laughed and I straighten up in my chair, "Alright?" He asked and I nodded,
