Sound of sirens

Third Person POV

"M-Murder" the girl stuttered staring in disbelief at the officers.

They did not show any pity towards the girl, nor did they show understanding. They were there to do their job, nothing more and nothing less. In their eyes the girl standing in front of them was just another criminal. Another low life, outcast of society. Little did they know that this girl was innocent. Oblivious to the events that had taken place in the past few days. This girl was not a criminal. She was none other than a victim.

The boy stood behind her, his fists clenched by his sides. If there was once colour in his cheeks, there was no more. His bright orange hair stood out against his now pale skin. His breathing was becoming erratic and his face held an expression of pure terror. Terror of what? Only he knew. The boy kept opening his mouth to speak but all his efforts were to no avail as no words passed through his lips.

"What is your name young man" the police officer lifted her eyes up to meet Jimins.

The boy stayed silent, completely unaware of what she had just said. He seemed to forget that he was in the presence of anyone in particular.

"Park Jimin" the girl spoke for her boyfriend, who was still lost in his own thoughts.

"Park Jimin" the police officer repeated, trying to get Jimins attention.

The boy flinched and looked around nervously, not able to hold eye contact with either of the officers.

"What's the problem?" he spoke in a half whisper.

"Would you happen to know anything about the event that took place at exactly 6:25am yesterday morning?" the woman raised her eyebrow.

Jimin hesitated before answering, "No I am unaware of what happened"

The boy swallowed the lump rising in his throat. He could taste bile.

Rihanna turned around to face Jimin before walking towards him.

She took his cold hand in hers and squeezed it.

"Are you sure?" she gently questioned him.

The boy quickly let go of her hand and took a step backwards .

"Are you accusing  me?" tears were building in his eyes threatening to break free.

"No Jimin I-" she closed her eyes and took in a sharp breath, "I just thought you might know at least something..."

"I know nothing" he snapped, "I don't even know who the victim of the murder is"

"A boy you both knew very well" the policeman, who had been silently studying the situation, spoke up.

Everything seemed to go still. Deadly silence breaking out across the apartment. All that could be heard was the sound of sirens outside and the city life that surrounded them. Jimin was unsure as to whether he could hear Rihanna's heartbeat or his own. 

"Min Yoongi was found dead in one of Big Hit entertainments dance studios at 7am yesterday morning"
