Jimin's POV
Trying to ignore the looks that Jungkook was throwing me across the room was like trying to ignore a mid-life crisis.
The huge grin on his face made it obvious that he was enjoying what he was doing to me a bit too much. I was surprised that no one else had noticed his odd behaviour, it was as if they were choosing to ignore it.
"So Jimin, did you have a good sleep?" Taehyung asked, mouth full of food.
I looked away just as Jungkook shot me another look, his eyebrows raised.
"Yeah it was okay" I replied, staring down at my bowl of cereal.
"Just okay?" I heard a familiar voice ask.
I turned around to face the boy,
"Oh Jungkook" I put on a confused expression, "When did you get here?"
To my satisfaction Jungkook looked rather taken aback by my comment, his lips pinching as if he had eaten something sour. I stifled a laugh, turning back to Taehyung.
"How about you Tae?" I lent forward, smiling. I gained yet another look from Jungkook but this time, one not so pleasant.
"Oh mine was great" Taehyung drawled, "I haven't slept like that in a long time" He returned my smile and stood up, making his way over to the sink.
"Glad to see that all of you are so relaxed" Jin walked in and threw himself down into a chair, a spiteful tone evident in his voice.
"We didn't mean it like that Jin" I tried to reassure him but he just stared into space, unaware that I had even spoken to him.
Taehyung looked shocked that Jin had even come out of his room, let alone joined us for breakfast.
"Are you going to eat?" Taehyung glanced over at Jin, raking his hand through his hair.
"No" he replied bluntly, pushing himself deeper into the chair.
I was taken aback by how harsh he was being. Never had I seen Jin behave like this. I guess last night should have been evidence enough that what had happened, changed him for the worst.
Maybe if he knew, he would go back to his old self...
Shaking the thought away, I stood up and made my way over to sit beside Jungkook. The playful spark in his eyes had vanished and been replaced with something serious. He looked genuinely worried. I followed his gaze to where it was focused, on Jin.
The boys hair was stuck to his forehead with sweat and his skin was almost white with the loss of colour. Bloodshot eyes stared down at the ground and his hands were clasped tightly in his lap. He looked worse than he did last night. In fact, he looked a lot worse than he did last night.
"He's not okay" Jungkook's voice cut through the silence.
"You're right, he isn't" I agreed, continuing to watch Jin.
"But there isn't anything we can do" I continued.
Or is there? You could tell him that Yoongi isn't actually dead. Tell him that everything is your fault. And then you can break his heart again and tell him that he may be alive but he isn't coming back. He isn't ever coming back.
I take back what I said earlier. Trying to ignore the looks Jungkook was throwing me is like trying to ignore my conscience.
"If we just give him time, he will come around eventually" I concluded.
"There is something we could do" Jungkook protested.
"Like what?"
Before Jungkook could reply, someone shot into the room like a bullet, almost rushing Taehyung off his feet and startling me for the second time today. It took awhile for my eyes to adjust and realise who it was.
Rihanna stood in the middle of the room, a desperate expression on her face and a frantic stance to her body. She looked around the room, eyes darting between each of us until they landed on Jin.
To my surprise, she threw herself towards him and wrapped her arms around his neck. I sat forward, ready to run up to Rihanna and force her away before Jin did something he would regret. Waiting for him to react was like waiting for a bomb to go off. You didn't know when it was going to happen or how big the explosion was going to be.
I gritted my teeth and stood up, edging closer to the two bodies. But there was no need to be concerned. Jin didn't move a muscle.
"I am so sorry" Rihanna wept into his shoulder.
Jin lifted his arms up and wrapped them around her waist, softly patting her back.
"It's okay. You're okay" he told her.
Jungkook looked like he had seen a ghost and Taehyung was acting like pigs were flying. However I, was just trying to take it all in. It was all over to quickly though, and within a few seconds I was standing face to face with Rihanna.
"We have to go" she took my hand and started pulling me out of the door but I stood my ground.
"Why?"
"I had a phone call" she lowered her voice so that only I could hear what she was saying, "they want to see us back at the station."
I could feel the other boys eyes burning into the back of my head, could sense their ears straining to listen.
"Jimin" Rihanna tapped my chin to get my attention, "they sounded urgent to see you. I think something has happened. And I don't thing it's good"
Her words sent an icy chill down my spine. It felt as if someone had grabbed hold of my gut and was squeezing it, refusing to let go.
"Okay" I swallowed the lump rising in my throat, "Let's go"
We had gone to meet our fate. But it felt a lot like we were going to meet the devil.
