'Even with my eyes closed I can still see you. But I'm afraid that one day I will open my eyes and you won't be there' -  ellzx13

I have spent some of the longest nights with him under the stars.

Hand in hand, we counted each and every one. His eyes twinkled along with the stars; lighting up my eyes, yet even though it was dark, I could see everything. Everything from the moon and back.

"Jimin" I whispered, tightening my hand in his.

"Yeah?" he looked towards me, eyes gentle.

"Are you happy?" I asked, running my eyes across his jawline before focusing them onto his plump lips.

"Mm" he mumbled, pulling me into his chest.

My heart fluttered with the pure ecstasy of life and being wrapped in his embrace.

"I am happier than I have ever been in my entire life" he planted a soft kiss on my forehead. So quick and gentle, that I barely even noticed it.

"Me too" I smiled up at him.

"I promise you" he whispered, "that I will never let anyone hurt you again."

My fingertips quivered as a shiver slowly trickled through my body, like a raindrop would trickle down a windowpane.

"What do you mean?" my mind seemed to go into standstill.

"Min Yoongi" the words dripped of his tongue like poison.

Turning suddenly, I jerked my head away.

"Rihanna?" Jimin loosened his grip on me and whirled around; dipping under my outstretched arm and placing himself in front of me, feet lightly landing back onto the ground. You could tell he was a dancer. Only such people would move as gracefully as he did. It enchanted me.

"It's fine" I gave him a teary smile, "Being reminded of him is just...upsetting to say the least."

"Never again" he stuttered, "Never again will I mention that name. He no longer exists to you or to me" Jimin's voice shook slightly.

"Even on the longest days" he continued, "and the longest nights. We are going to shape our future into a masterpiece. Something so undeniably beautiful and breath-taking. From this moment onwards the past will be forgotten. The past no longer matters."

A small laugh escaped me and I wiped the tears away, "Since when did you get so poetic?"

But he didn't hear me. He had begun to sing. A pretty melody seemed to dance in my ears. A sound so pure, so light and angelic.

I couldn't quite make out what he was singing but whatever it was sparked something up within me that I hadn't felt before.

Hope.
