Chapter 33

*Still Diggy's P.O.V*

I held Lexi while she slept. I fell asleep a few times but I kept waking up. I can't stop thinking about JoJo. I kept having nightmares about him getting shot. It's strange b/c the guy in my dream that shot him looked like Lexi's friend Christian. I know it's not real but it still bothered me. Tears were falling from my eyes as I thought about JoJo. I didn't know if he was gonna make it or not. I love him so much and I don't know what I'd do if I lose him. I have to go back to the hospital.

I tried moving as slow as possible so that I wouldn't wake Lexi. I managed to get off the bed and get dressed.(nothing happened between Diggy & Lexi) I was doing great until I opened the door. That's when she woke up.

L: hey

Me: hey. *Walks over to her* I was trying not to wake you up.

L: where are you going?

Me: back to the hospital

L: did your mom call?

Me: no I just need to be there

L: I know you wanna be there right now Digg but it's 4 in the morning. I don't want you driving at this time. Please just wait until the sun is out even a little.

Me: I know you just want me to be safe but I gotta go Lexi. I can't sleep. I can't stop thinking about him. I just feel like if I'm in the hospital I'll feel a little closer to him.

L: well then I'm coming with you.

Me: no babe I know you're tired. I'll be fine okay? *kisses her head* you want me to call you when I get there?

L: *sigh* yeah *hugs/kisses me* please, be careful okay?

Me: I will. *kisses her again* I love you baby. Thank you for...everything.

L: *smiles* I love you too Daniel *lays back down*

*At The Hospital*

After calling Lexi to let her know that I'm okay, I saw my family in the waiting room.

Me: hey

Fam: hey

Me: any news?

Mom: no not yet. Were you with Alex?

Me: yeah

Mom: where is she?

Me: she's home. She wanted to come but I know she's tired so I told her to stay.

Mom: I like her. There's just something about her that makes me know that she's the one for you. The fact that she stayed here all night. I really appreciate that. I see the way she looks at you with so much love. You really complete each other.

Me: *smiles* yeah she's beyond amazing

Mom: I know she's famous and always on t.v. I know that she was at Miley's party but I feel like I've met her before. I was thinking about it the night she came over to your house when I was there. I just can't figure it out. Maybe I met her when I was doing that program with kids "Reading Is Fun." I don't know.

Me: I think she would've remembered that.

Mom: true. I'll figure it out though.

Me: *laughs* I know you will. You never give up.

Mom: nope *smiles*

Just then, the doctor who was operating on JoJo came out.

Dad: how's my son?

Doctor: well Mr. & Mrs. Simmons...
