Chapter 35
Lexi came out in her robe, hugged him and he left. Why she in her robe? I mean it's kinda long but still. I sat in my car and waited until he left.
Finally, I called her to tell her that I'm outside.
L: *opens door* hey *smiles* how's JoJo?
Me:...he's just fine
L: see? I told you he'd be okay!
Me: mhm I'll tell you more about that later but do you wanna tell me something?
L: ...tell you what?
Me: Lexi, I saw Christian leaving a few minutes ago. What was he doing here?
L: he came to give me this robe his mom sent. One day, before they moved, Christian, his brother, and I were playing and his brother pushed me in the pool. His mom gave me her robe and I just loved it. I loved how soft it was. Every Christmas or birthday, she used to buy me something and a robe. There's no special occasion for this one but she remembered that I loved them so she sent it for me.
She was smiling the whole time she was telling me the story. She looked so happy. She light up. I felt bad for being upset.
L: I miss her. She's an amazing lady.
Me:...oh. Well that's nice.
L: mmhm. You sounded a bit upset there Mr. Simmons
Me: *laughs* ok so that's what you're gonna call me now?
L: well that is your name isn't it?
Me: *puts my hands around her waists* yeah but I like when you call me Daniel...baby...or whatever cute nickname you got for me.
L: *laughs* well alriiight
Me: so now you're taking my phrase? Okay *laughs*
L: so now you're dodging my question?
Me: *sigh* I was. Not because I don't trust you but because I don't trust him. I know I just met him today but there's something about him that I just don't like. I know he's your friend but I don't really want you around him much.
L: what? *walks away* Diggy he's been one of my closest friends for years now and I haven't seen him in two years. You want me to just stop seeing him? Really?
Me: Lexi, I had a dream that he was the one who shot JoJo. I know it's just a dream but-GCO-
L: Diggy, like you said, it was just a dream.
Me:...but it bothers me
L:...okay, I won't hang out w/ him much. But I'm not gonna just stop talking to him like that.
Me:...okay *kisses her cheek* thank you
L: you're welcome babe. So, what do you wanna do?
Me: *sits down on the couch & pulls her on my lap* I just wanna be with you right now. I just wanna relax. I didn't get much sleep.
L: well I'm right here. & you know you're free to stay as long as you want.
Me: thanks *kisses her* can I stay here forever?
L: *smiles* forever and always
We went upstairs and just laid there and held each other.
Me: thank you
L: for what?
Me: being so sweet and amazing. For just being you.
We continued talking and I tried to stay awake but I was just so tired. Lexi kissed my cheek when she realized that I was falling asleep.
L: sweet dreams my love
Me: *smiles/falls asleep*
