"O can make the world a better place just with her smile. That sounds... corny, I know. Today I popped by the diner to say hi before I went to work, and I stood there a moment as she busied herself. She didn't notice me right away, and I got to watch as she maneuvered skillfully around people, a hot pot of coffee in her hands. She filled an elderly couples' mugs and the man touched her hand gently, said something to her that I couldn't hear, and the smile on her face grew even brighter. Her smile, it's infectious and I found myself smiling, leaning against the wall as I watcher her.

When she noticed me, I realized something; even though she was smiling, it got even bigger when she saw me. I swear, my heart stopped for a second as I realized her true beauty. She never gets dolled up like the woman I used to date did; the hair and make up... She doesn't need any of it. Her face glows with an unmatched radiance, it shows in her smile and in her eyes. She made her way to me, glancing around almost nervously, and I wanted so badly to say I loved her. There will be a time, a time where it doesn't scare me to say the words out loud, to tell her what she wants to hear.

After I left, I noticed one of the other waitresses talking to her, and her face went bright red.

After all this time, I've still got it.

I wonder how Steve is doing in that department. Well - I hope. He deserves someone who is as good to him as O is to me. Deserves it a lot more than I do, but I wouldn't change what I have for the world."
