"O had another nightmare last night; she told me about it this time. Previously she'd stayed silent with a wild look in her eyes. Sometimes she would need to leave the apartment, get some fresh air to try and clear her head. But last night she talked to me about it, and I realized just how dark her life had been. With how authentically kind she is, I still have a difficult time grasping that this is the first time in her life that she has lived a life without HYDRA breathing down her neck. When she told me about her past I realize how good I had it.

She told me that she was fourteen when she first killed someone.

They had made her track a woman down; she can't remember who this woman was or what she had done, but when she was brought into the base they gave Ophelia a gun. She didn't know how to use it, she'd never even held a gun before. The woman before her was put on her knees, execution style. They told her to pull the trigger, and when she protested they told her they'd kill her. It makes me sick to think that when I was enjoying my teenage years like every other kid, she was putting a bullet in a woman's skull.

I shouldn't have written this in here. I'm sorry, O, if you ever read this... I just have a hard time understanding how you're the way you are after everything you've been through. I struggle at figuring out who I am, what is me and what is the Winter Soldier. Maybe I'm a bit of both now, that's just part of me. But you, you're different. You're stronger."
