Lauren's POV
I was helping Emilia put her gifts away when all the sudden my phone goes off and I look at my phone and seen a text from...Sam Pottorff. I haven't talked to him since I was a junior in high school and I had a crush on him and at graduation I wonder what he wants.
"Emilia I'm gonna answer that text I'll be right back don't do anything to hurt yourself"
"Ok well I'm gonna sit next to you and watch you text because I'm curious of what he wants"
*texting Sam*
Pottorff💩: Hey Lauren it's been a while since we have talked last I seen u was when Asher was born and at graduation but we never talked at graduation but then I kinda left and I feel bad so I was wondering if u want to go out for breakfast tomorrow so we can catch up
Me: Sure that sounds great and if u want to come over now and see the kids u can and visit with Kian and Emilia. Hunter, Sammy, and Skate are here too helping clean up Emilia's baby shower
Pottorff💩: Sure I'll come over how many kids do u have now? And Emilia's pregnant?!?!?!?!
Me: I have three. Asher and two twin girls. And yes she is pregnant. 5 months along to be exact
Pottorff💩: Well I'm on my way what are the twins names?
Me: Jordyne Rose and Jessalyn Marie
Pottorff💩: I remember u always telling me that u want to name ur daughter Jordyne
Me: haha yeah me too
Pottorff💩: I always thought u and I would be the ones to have kids together and get married but I guess that isn't how it ended and I'm sorry for what I did I never meant to ask out Emilia I always wanted to ask u out but I freaked out and got scared and apparently I do stupid stuff when I'm scared
Me: Well we can't do anything about it now can we?
Pottorff💩: No we can't😔
Me: Anyways don't u have a girlfriend now?
Pottorff💩: Did u read that online? No I don't have a girlfriend but apparently the Internet hears differently
Me: Oh see ya in a bit I have to feed the kids and everybody else because they r yelling at me to get them food well except the babies
Pottorff💩: See ya
*end of convo*
"That was awkward but anyways do you think Kian would watch the babies and Asher while you and I go get food?"
"Yeah of course he would he loves the kids"
"KIAN" I yelled
"YEAH"
"COME HERE PLEASE"
He walks into Emilia's and his room.
"What do you want?"
"Can you watch the kids while her and I go get everybody food?"
"Sure"
"Thanks and if you need any help the other guys are downstairs with you"
Emilia and I head to my pickup and I start it and pull out of my driveway.
"Where do you want to go to get food for everyone?"
"Starbucks because I also want to get a drink"
"You are just like me when I was pregnant always wanting Starbucks but Hunter wouldn't ever get me any"
"And that was why you always had me and I would always go get you your coffee"
"And that's what I'm gonna do for you when Kian won't get you coffee"
We go to Starbucks and we jam out to Selfie by Mark Thomas. I love this song and so does Emilia.
*skip to after getting the food*
Since Sam was coming over I got him some food too just to be a good friend.
"So wouldn't it be weird to have Sam around Hunter?" Emilia says.
"No because Sam knows I moved on from liking him"
She nods her head as we pull into the drive-way.
"Looks who's here?"
I look the direction she's pointing and see Sam's car. I grab the drinks and Emilia gets the food and we both hop out of my pickup.
"Sorry we took my pickup I know how you feel climbing in and out of it"
"It's fine"
I open the door and Emilia and I walk into the living room hearing a conversation going on.
Emilia walks in and sets the food in the coffee table and I slowly walk in and set the drink down.
I grab Sam's food and drink and hand it to him.
He gives me a weird look.
"What?"
"You remembered what I get at Starbucks?"
"Yeah we would always go there for lunch for school every single day because school lunch was gross"
"I just thought you would never remember or get me any because we haven't talked for a long time"
I shrugged.
"Well I invited you over and I was getting people good and thought I would be nice to get you some knowing you would do the same thing"
I smiled and grabbed Hunter's food and drink and hand it to him. Emilia gives Kian his stuff.
"Where's the kids?" I say to Hunter
"Twins are sleeping and Asher is getting a bath from Sammy and Skate"
"It takes both of them to bath one kid" I say laughing
"Yes yes it does" Skate says walking in followed by Sammy holding Asher in his arm.
"Wow you guys can actually dress a kid"
"Haha very funny" Sammy says sarcastically
I smile as Sammy sets Asher down. I hand Sammy and Skate their drinks and Emilia hands them their food. We got Asher McDonald's because of he toy. I hand Asher his food and his chocolate milk.
"Thanks mommy"
He grabs it and I pick him and set him next to Sam Pottorff. He just stares at Sam.
"Mommy who is this stranger next to me?"
"That my friend from high school Sam Pottorff"
Asher puts out his small hand to shake Sam's hand. Sam looks at me and back at Asher's hand and grabs his hand and shakes it.
"I'm Asher"
"I'm Sam" he says and laughs.
I look at Hunter and I start laughing.
"He gets the good manners from me" I say
"Yeah right he gets that from me"
"Ha no he gets them from me and the good looks"
"Whatever"
Sam's POV
Lauren is even more beautiful as before. There is just one thing neither of us told anybody. The night her and Kian had the "date". I went to see her to apologize and something happened. Her and I had sex and no one knows because she never wanted to speak of it. I'm not saying Asher is mine but she wasn't a virgin when her and Hunter did it. I'm not gonna say anything to Hunter because he makes her happy and I love seeing her happy.
"Sam are you ok?"
"Huh oh um yeah I'm fine just thinking"
"Ok you looked zoned out and your not eating"
"Oh sorry so Kian how you been?"
"I'm doing fine"
I finally look is really at him and see Emilia sitting on his lap. I wish that was Lauren and I but I messed it up.
"So I see you and Emilia are having a kid"
"Yup and we're getting married"
My eyes went wide. Emilia shows me the ring.
"Thats good"
I look over at Lauren and see her and Hunter kissing.
I get up feeling awkward. I start walking to the door.
"Sam you ok?" Lauren says.
I turn around.
"Yeah just forgot I made plans to hang with my mom tonight and I don't want to mess that up" I lied
I quickly walk out the door before she could stop me from leaving.
I get in my car and start it. Then my passenger door opens and Kian climbs in.
"Sam what's really wrong?"
"Nothing" I lied again
"I know your lying to me"
I turn the car off.
"It's just that I want to be with Lauren still and I know I can't because she's married to Hunter and has kids with him and it's hard seeing that you got your crush and your happy with her and about to have a kid and are engaged and I just..."
"Wish that could happen with you and Lauren"
"Yeah"
"You know you didn't have to lie to me before because I knew the second you ran out that door faster than ever before"
"I know I didn't want Lauren and the others to know though" I frown
"How about I go get Emilia then you I and Emilia can go hang out somewhere to clear your mind"
"Ok and I'll tell Emilia everything if she promises not to say anything to Lauren or even Hunter"
"Ok I'll make her promise when she gets in the car"
He hops out and runs inside to get Emilia.
