Chapter 13: Her

Josh's POV:

As soon as I woke up, the events from the previous night flooded back to me. It was still a bit of a shock, I mean, Simon was gay. That's not something I can get used to straight away, but it's something I can get used to. He'll need mine and Vikk's support when he tells everyone else, but we won't force him to do it any earlier than he's ready. Speaking of Vikk, I should probably go and talk to him, tell him that Simon's told me now.

I brushed my hand quickly through my hair before making my way to Vikk's room, hoping he was awake and that if he was, he wasn't busy. I knocked twice before hearing a quiet 'come in' from the other side of the door.

"Hey Vikk." I said, remaining standing in the doorway because I didn't want to spend too long talking to Vikk and forget what time it was.

"Hi Josh." He replied.

"Just wanted to tell you that last night, Simon told me that he was gay, so you don't need to be so secretive anymore."

"Oh right...okay. Why'd he tell you?"

"Well, when we came back from Pokémon hunting, I went to speak to him about some stuff and I found him crying in his room because it had all gotten too much for him." I feel like I shouldn't be sharing this, but I think Vikk should know.

"Is he okay now?" Vikk instantly grew worried.

"I think he is now he's told me, and now he hasn't got that to worry about. I made him go to sleep last night and not do anymore work so I don't know whether he's still asleep or what."

"Okay, well I'm glad you know now, even though that probably wasn't the way he wanted you to find out."

"Yeah. Well, that's all I really wanted Vikk. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go and get ready."

"Bye Josh."

"Bye Vikk." I said, closing the door behind me as I left his room. I needed to get changed before going out in a short while.

I haven't heard anything from Simon since I woke up: he didn't pass me while I was talking to Vikk in his doorway and there's been no noise or movement from his room, so unless he's in the kitchen eating, he's still asleep. I hope he's still sleeping, because he could really do with a good, long sleep.

Once I was ready, I shouted "I'm leaving now, bye guys" through the house to whoever was listening, locked the door behind me, got in my car and drove to my destination.

Simon's POV:

As soon as I woke up, the events from the previous night flooded back to me. And do you know what I did? I smiled. I smiled. For once I wasn't sad or scared, because I'd finally told Josh and he'd accepted me.

I checked the time 3:00pm, later than my usual time to wake up. I'd lost track of time at around 5am this morning, when me and Josh sat down on my bed, so I must have fallen asleep around 6am. That must have been the best night's sleep I've had in a very long time.

I got changed and left my room without second thought, for the first time in ages not having to hide in case I said anything. Vikk and Josh now knew, and JJ wouldn't question me if I said anything, he'd just ignore it. As I reached the top of the big staircase, Vikk emerged from his room.

"Hey Vikk." I said, surprising myself with how cheerful I sounded.

"Oh, hey Simon. How are you today, you better?"

I looked at him, confused, "What do you mean?"

"Josh came to see me this morning, just to tell me about what happened last night. And before you get pissed at him or anything, I could tell he wasn't exactly comfortable telling me, but he thought I should know because I was the first person you told. He told me about you crying and how he'd found you and that you'd told him."

"Oh, okay. That's fine." I paused for a second, "Talking of Josh, do you know where he is?"

He nodded, "Yeah, he's gone out with Freya today, did you forget?" How could I forget about her? He's gone out for the day with her after what happened last night, without even saying bye to me before leaving. What did you expect though, really? It's not like anything happened between you two last night.

I just laughed, "Yeah, I must have. I'll just talk to him when he gets back, no worries. Where you off to anyway, Vikk?"

"Just getting a drink from the kitchen before I start editing. What about you?"

"I was just going to head out for a walk to get some fresh air for once." and to clear my head. We both laughed, knowing how little time we actually spent outside.

"Well, I'll speak to you later then, before the group recording session." He spoke, moving towards the stairs to continue his original journey.

"Yeah, see you."

I let him go before going to leave myself. I was about to go down the stairs when I realised I'd left my phone on charge in my room. I walked quickly back up to my room and pulled it off charge, turning the charger off in the process, before walking back down and to the front door. I grabbed my keys, opened the door and stepped outside. I need this walk to clear my head about Josh and just my life in general.
