Josh's POV:
With a final plan in our heads, myself and Vikk parted ways. My only problem with it was that I had to be the one to ask Simon if he wanted to come out with us, which I told Vikk was a bad idea because I'm gonna be the last person he wants to see, but according to Vikk, this is the best way to do this, though thinking about it now, he never specified what this is.
Standing outside Simon's door was nerve racking. Originally, I'd told myself that I'd been standing there to make sure he wasn't recording, but 10 minutes later, I know he's not and I'm just stalling. Well, here goes nothing.
I knock on his door, waiting for what seems like eternities, before I hear a quiet "Come in" from the other side.
As I walked in, Simon looked away from his editing, but as soon as he realised it was me, he quickly looked back at his screen. Great. This is gonna go so well.
Simon's POV:
What's Josh doing here? I don't want to see him. I don't want him to see me. I feel like I look a mess. I probably do look a mess, I just haven't looked in the mirror because I don't want to see the ugly fucking mess that I am staring back at me. Don't look at him, you're gonna fall for him more if you look at him. I know I am, and that's the problem, I love him too much already.
Josh's POV:
"What do you want?" From the crack of his voice when he said you, and the sad, dejected tone of his voice, I could tell he didn't want me in here. Honestly, it did hurt slightly, but I can't blame him. Even so, damn Vikk and his 'clever' ideas. Now, what approach do I take?
"Hey Simon, me and the guys are going to play some football, maybe record some videos, and then we're going to Nandos. Do you wanna come?" Vikk suggested football, because it's something Simon loves so maybe it will cheer him up, even if it's just for an hour or so. And of course, who can turn down food?
"Nah, I'm okay staying here, you guys go enjoy yourselves. I've got some editing to do anyway." Apparently, Simon can. This is gonna be harder than I thought.
"Come on, since when did you turn down football and Nandos?" I dragged out the 'o' of on, hoping to spark something inside of him that would make him want to leave the house.
"I don't feel up to it today, Josh, I'm not particularly hungry and I've got a load of videos I need to record and edit." Simon hasn't left his room since 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon, believe me I've been listening out for his door opening. That means he must be hungry, surely, he can't be starving himself for the sake of avoiding me... can he? I don't think I could bare to look at myself is he is.
"Now, we both know that isn't true, you haven't left your room in over 24 hours, you must be starving." He seemed to freeze at this, as if he had been hoping that I hadn't noticed. "Come on, even if you just wanna go for food, that's fine. The guys are worried, Simon, they can tell something is wrong and they want to see that you're okay, or at least that you're alive." Because of course you're not okay, I can see that in your eyes and your behaviour.
A slight sigh escaped his lips, before he saved his editing and closed the program. Yes, I've got through. "Fine, you're right, I am actually very hungry, and I haven't played football in so long, so it will do good to get on the pitch again. One condition though," Oh no, he's gonna want to travel separately and for me to stay away from him or something like that. "Can we not record anything, can we just play, because as you can probably see, I look like shit and I have huge bags under my eyes." What a lie, he looks gorgeous... Wait what did I just say?
"Yeah, of course we can, I'll just go tell the boys. Meet at the bottom of the stairs in ten minutes?" I asked as I turned around to leave.
"That's fine, I'll try to tidy myself up." He laughed slightly, with a hint of a smile on his lips. That's exactly what I need to see right now.
I turned around once more. "Oh and for the record, Simon, I think you look handsome regardless of the state your in." And with that, I left.
