Garrett speed down the long island freeway. His head hurting, he hasn't fully sleep in five days. His eyelids felt heavy. Suddenly there was a piece of a tire in front of him. He went to move out the way. Before it knew it he was in the air, he felt all the air leave his body as he hit and skidded, rolling and tumbling down the road.
There was a ringing in his ear. He felt as if he couldn't breathe. His sight was full of specks of color and slightly blurred. Finally his breath returned. He started to hypoventilate. His breath fogging his helmet. He went to push himself up, pain bursted through his arm. A cry escaped his mouth. Warm tears streamed down his face.
Someone was trying to talk to him but he could make it out. All garrett knee is he felt cold, and was in serious pain. He kept trying to push himself up trying to ignore the pain.
He felt someone grab him making him lie flat on his back. Garretts hot beat rapidly, his breath just as fast. He didn't under couldn't comprehend what was happening around him. His helmet was carefully taken off. Two men looked down at him, garrett tried to speak, nothing cohesive came out.
“Man, you okay? Damn we were right behind you you completely flew like 30 feet.” one of the guys said as the other spoke on his phone.
Garrett blinked repeatedly trying to clearly see. The ringing had slightly dimed. He could hear the sirens. Before he knew it he was in an ambulance, medical terms being thrown around.
"Garrett? Is it?" A blond haired woman asked.
Garrett tried nodded, a neck brace stopping him.
"Can you feel this?" The dark skin man asked.
Garrett felt something poking his foot. "Y-yes." He croaked out finally feeling able to speak. "What happened to me?" He asked trying to move.
"Stop, you tore you're ACL, dislocated your left shoulder, broke you wrist, you're going through shock, we also suspect a back injury." The woman said pulling a thick blanket over him.
He sat there registering everything. His eyes began to get heavy again.
"Hey!" There was a loud clap near his ear "you can't fall asleep."

Felicia rushed around grabbing her stuff. She didn't care if she didn't make it into work. Samuel followed her trying to calm her down.
"Honey, calm down. Everything will be okay." Samuel said.
Felicia stopped and turned glaring at him. "Okay?" She asked her accent thick "you think this is okay? My baby is in the hospital, cause that stupid bike whatever!" She cried "its not okay, this is not okay!"
Samuel put his hands up in defense, "I'll drive. You call Carmen, and I'll go get Lani."
Felicia nodded grabbing her phone, as she rung Carmen she grabbed her coat and slipped on her shoes. She didn't have time to change our of her scrubs.
When she got outside Lani was Strapping a sleeping Michael into the car seat.
She muttered prayers as they drove.
