This was such a hard choice.  I have so many favorite books.  I decided to cheat a little on this submission.  Instead of ONE favorite book I've decided to give you what TYPE of book I love reading.

I'm going to have to say that most of the books I have photographed to the right fall under the category of  nonfiction.  That's right, you heard me right... NONFICTION!

My love for nonfiction started when I was very young.  In fact, I think it was in the 6th grade!  When I was 12 years old I discovered my love for WWII history and since then my interests have broadened.  More recently I've been reading a lot about Pakistan and Afghanistan and the efforts there to make life better.  However, most of the books don't fall under that category so I don't know why I told you that.

What's in my photo? (from left to right):

1- Ordinary Men

2- Voices From S-21

3- Galileo's Daughter

4- The Kite Runner

5- Three Cups of Tea

6- Stones into Schools

7- I Am Nujood, Age 10 and Divorced

8- The Freedom Writers Diary

9- Mother Had a Secret

10- My Forbidden Face

11- The Westing Game (I admit, this is not nonfiction but this is one book that I can read over and over and over and over again.  I love it so so so much, it's easy to read and fun too!  If you haven't read it you NEED to read it asap!)

I love all these books and I highly recommend them.

Some I forgot...

1- Keeping Keller

2- Smoke and Ashes

3- Confessions of a Shopaholic (and the rest of the series!  Yes, I do read FUN, non-depressing books.  Not to say that all nonfiction is depressing but some of it can really be sad)

Anyway...I hope that this gives you a little something to go out and find for yourselves.  If you're in the mood for a quick and easy nonfiction read I suggest I Am Nujood, Age 10 and Divorced or My Forbidden Face.  If you're in the mood for a quick but fun read The Westing Game or any of the Confessions of a Shopaholic books are great fun!

Also, if you want to know what any of these books are about in greater detail just ask!  I'd love to tell you about them.

Challenge: Try to read something nonfiction.  Just read the first couple of chapters! You may find that it's not as bad as you were thinking.

What is your favorite book or what do you find yourself reading about the most?
