I don't own very many movies. As of right now I only have 3 movies in my possession. I had to leave the rest behind when I moved (not that there were many more).
So I was forced to choose from the 3 I have. I chose Anna And The King. I chose it because I love it. It's not my favorite movie of all time but, it's my favorite that I own.
It's a love story about two people who can't be together. I just want the King to end up with Anna... *sigh*
Description on back: English schoolteacher Anna Leonowens has traveled to Siam to educate the fifty-eight children of King Mongkut. If she has preconceived notions about the East, the king has similar notions the West. But amid the danger of growing political unrest, their respect for each other slowly turns into something more.
A website says this about it: The story of the romance between the King of Siam and the widowed British schoolteacher Anna Leonowens during the 1860's.
Did I mention this is based on a true story which makes it even better!
Jodie Foster, Chow Yun-Fat, and even a young Tom Felton make this movie amazing! I recommend it and now I want to watch it. Why does it have to be so late?
