Morgan's POV

"Do you mind?" I asked Bria.

She had her feet across my legs and it was annoying.

"No, I don't mind. Thanks for asking."

I rolled my eyes and continued watching TV.

"So..."

"What, Bria?" I asked in annoyance.

"What's up with you and Tevin." She cheesed.

I looked at her funny. "What you mean?"

She sucked her teeth. "Come on now. What was y'all talking about yesterday?"

Why? 😴

"Nothing at all." I said.

"Mhm."

"Don't nobody want him but yo desperate ass." I laughed.

"Kiss my ass."

"Nah, I'm straight."

My pager went off.

I looked at it. I picked up the phone and dialed Tionne's number.

"Hello?" I asked.

"Morgan, DeVanté woke up!"

My heart dropped to my stomach. "Wh-...What?"

"He woke up, bitch! When y'all coming back down here?" She asked.

"...Aunt Gayle was going this weekend..."

"Good, cause you already know this nigga gone go crazy without you being here."

I didn't say anything.

"I'll talk to you later, though." She said.

"O-okay."

She hung up.

My heart was racing.

DeVanté is up and breathing on his own!

I'm not even going to lie, it's been over two years...I didn't think he'd make it. 😕 I mean, the doctors said he wasn't making any progress. His parents were going to pull the plug a few months ago! Thank God Dalvin stopped them and that didn't happen. 😓

I know he's going to be upset when he finds out I moved, that's the main reason why I'm going to visit him whenever I get to New York.

DeVanté's POV

He didn't say anything, which scared me.

"Where is Morgan?" I asked for the second time.

Dalvin sighed and looked down, then back at me.

"...She moved..."

I scrunched up my face. "Moved?"

"Yeah..."

"Where to?"

"LA."

Yes, Dalvin saying that pissed me off, but I'm more hurt than anything.

Okay, she moved. I get that, but how could she not be here for me? The first thing I saw when I woke up should've been her! I don't care to see nobody else. I want to see HER!

I'm getting out of the hospital in a few days. If she don't come see me by then, I'm coming to see her. 😈

Days Later

"Okay, all we need for you to do is sign these papers and you will be good to go."

I mentally rolled my eyes.

Why so many papers, though?

I signed the papers.

"Okay, Mr. DeGrate, you are free to go." The doctor said.

A nurse came in with a wheel chair. I got in it and she took me outside to my parents' car.

"Thank you so much." My mom said to the nurse.

"No problem." She smiled. "If there's anything you need...let me know." She said to me.

Miss nurse lady, if you don't take yo ass back in that hospital. 😌

The car ride to the house seemed to take years. I don't know if it's because I was anxious, or because I haven't been down this road literally in years.

The whole time I was thinking about Morgan. How could she leave me like that? It's her fault I nearly died! Why does she have to be so fucking selfish!? 😤

I hope she didn't think moving would keep me away from her. It don't matter where she go, I'll always find her. She just better watch out.

I know it was short and it sucked, but it's really just a filler.

What did DeVanté mean by Morgan better watch out? 😳👀
