Miranda's pov
Mom and dad left to pick up Jason's parents. "Oh man the house is gonna be so packed with them all here." I mutter frustrated. "There's nothing we can do. We'll entertain them for a few days and they'll go back home." Jason says, massaging my shoulders. "Jason you do realize the baby doesn't come for another 3 months?" He sighs. "Well we'll tolerate them for three months." I sigh tiredly, leaning into his chest. There's a knock at the door. "Ugh what now?" I grumble. He opens the door and I take a Tylenol. "Whoa, hey Tyler." I spin around. "Tyler!" He smiles. I hug him. "You're home to stay?" I ask hopefully. "Sure am!" Just then my parents and Jason's pull into the drive.
*later*
Me and Jason were laying in bed after dinner, my fingers laced with his. "I'm glad Ty's home." I say. "Me too." I close my eyes when I hear my mom and dad talking in the guest room down the hall. "I think you're intruding." Um.... "No I want to be close to my daughter and grandson. This is such an important moment in her life." I sit up. "You're smothering them. Especially when you brought his parents into this." "Don't you want to be a grandfather!?" "Uh oh they're fighting." I mumble sighing. "It's okay, just go to sleep." He says, pulling me back down. I lay my head on his chest.
*the next day*
I wake up, smelling waffles. I smile and get up to get ready. Jason sleeps so cutely. He'd kill me if I said that out loud. I laugh at the thought and walk downstairs. Dad was making breakfast. "Hey daddy." He hugs me and I sit at the table. I sit there in silence for a few seconds then I say, "You were right last night dad." He turns around. "What do you mean?" I sigh. "You know what I mean." "Be nice to your mother. She's just excited." I glare at the tabletop. "Being nice gets you killed." I whisper, clenching my fists. I feel a flashback coming on. Fear fills me and sweat runs down my neck. "Dad, get Jason!!"
Jason's pov
A knock at the door woke me up. That's confusing. "Who's there?" I mumble trying to wake up. "Jason, come quick! Miranda's freaking out!" Her dad shouts. "Crap!" I gasp, standing up and running out the door in only my boxers. (Embarassing) Both my parents and hers are worried. "Get back! Give her some space!" I gasp, hitting my knees beside her. She's shaking and mumbling stuff. "Baby come back to me!" She grabs my shirt. "They're back! They're back! We've gotta hide!" "They're not back, hun, you're home!" It takes a while to calm her back down.
*later*
"I can't believe I freaked out like that in front of everyone." She mumbles into her hands. I run a hand through her hair as her head lays in my lap. That always seems to calm her down. "Our parents don't judge you. It's alright." "Luke's here!" Her mom calls. I wonder why he's here. "I'll be right back, hun." I meet Luke in the living room and we go outside. "What's with our moms and dads being here?" I sigh. "They wanna "help" with the baby when he gets here." I reply, using quotations on help. He laughs. "Oh that must suck!" I shrug. "I hope it won't take too long." I say, leaning against the door. Someone opens it and I fall inward, glaring up at whoever opened it but it was Miranda. "Oops sorry Jay." I stand back up. "It's fine babe." "Hey Luke." She says, waving. I sling an arm around her waist. "So brother in law, wanna join this family party?" I jokingly ask. He laughs.
*3 months later*
Miranda's pov
I just gave birth to our son. Tears of joy rain down my face as my proud caring husband holds our newborn son. "Hey Jason, I know we decided on the name Brayden. But can we name him Peter?" I ask, tired from the numbing drugs they gave me. He smiles. "I love that name." He helps me sit up and hands Peter to me. "He's such a beautiful baby." I whisper, smiling and tickling under his chin. He yawns and opens his beautiful green eyes. I smile up at Jason. "We're parents." I say. He kisses me. "I love you, baby girl." "I love you too, Jay."
