"There's no good times
This impossible year
Just a beachfront of bad blood
And a coast that's unclear
All the guests at the party
They're so insincere
They just intrude and exclude
This impossible year" - Impossible YearDan's POV
It was now the next day. Phil and I were up now, and tidying my apartment, because we were expecting a visit from Zoe today. We hadn't discussed what had happened last night, but it seemed as if we didn't need to. There was no air of awkward or weird tension between us, just small smiles and comfortable silences.
(Flashback)
I stare at him for a few more minutes, taking in all of his features and the feeling that Phil gave to me. Thinking i had given him enough time to actually fall asleep, I lift my hand to caress his face, moving his fringe from his closed eyes as i do. Phil's breaths are even and he seemed to be completely still. Before i had any chance of second-guessing myself, I close my eyes, lean down and place my lips on his kissable ones. As expected, i don't feel a response, but as i pull back, just enough to look at his face, I see his bright blue eyes shining back up at me.
My eyes are wide with realisation of what I had just done. I don't move, watching and waiting for some sort of reaction from Phil. Instead of moving away in disgust like I thought he would, Phil giggles softly, cuddling into my arms more and pressing a light kiss to my neck, making me shiver.
"Goodnight Dan", he says cutely, yawning right after. I wrap my arms around him tighter in relief, and soon after I hear quiet little snores emitting from Phil, where he is laying his head on my shoulder. I soon follow into a deep sleep, with a wide smile on my face.
(End Of Flashback)
I hear small clangs of utensils and pots, telling me that Phil is tidying the kitchen. I make sure Pj's bedroom door is shut, in case he left it messy, after I shooed him and Megan out of the apartment this morning. Megan was fine with it, wanting to go to the animal shelter anyway, to feed the stray pets, but Peej just seemed to want another hour of sleep.
I shake my head, clearing it of my thoughts and continue to tidy the livingroom. I hear the doorbell ring, then a loud bang come from the kitchen. I giggle to myself, knowing Phil probably dropped something, in surprise, and I started towards the door.
I opened it to see Zoe standing the other side, grinning widely with happiness. She greets me with a hug and a kiss on the cheek, as I lead her in to sit in the living room. She asks me, how we've been and if Phil and I have been getting along. I laugh at this, if only she knew. I take in how she looks today, still as pretty as ever with a warm glow about her that just radiates happiness. I fell like Zoe and I will still be friends, even after the show.
It doesn't take long for Phil to join us, coming in from the kitchen and sitting on the couch next to me, a bit too close, but I honestly didn't mind that much. Zoe caught on to our close proximity and only grinned in response, her eyes lighting up with joy about something I don't know about.
"So how have you boys been treating each other?" She asks, a smirk prominent in her features, awaiting our response. I turn my head and make eye contact with Phil, his blue orbs shining into mine, with a light blush evident on his cheeks. I clear my throat before turning back to Zoe. "Obviously really well," I reply, "he's one of the bestest friends I've ever had." Although my face showed a dimpled smile, I cringe internally at the use of "friend" in my sentence and noticed how Phil physically deflated when I said it. I took note to ask him about it later.
It wasn't long before Phil chose to change the subject, talking about going back to the house tomorrow morning, which I wasn't looking forward to, and how well the other boys were doing. Phil was a natural at getting along with people, making Zoe giggle at his lame attempts of jokes and just being his dorky self. I felt myself smiling fondly at his joyous demeanour.
Soon we were all laughing about some innuendo Phil had unintentionally made, when Megan and Pj barged in. Megan squealed as she ran to embrace Zoe, and Pj was smiling lovingly at his dork of a girlfriend. Phil and I listened to Pj rant about how cute Megan was with the stray puppies, while the animal lover herself was talking animatedly to Zoe in the corner, using hushed voices and occasionally glancing at Phil and I.
Zoe couldn't stay much longer after that, and bid is all goodbye, promising to see us tomorrow to prepare for the next rose ceremony. I was kinda glad to see her go, knowing that Megan and Pj would probably go to watch a movie in their room, so I could have some time with Phil.
As expected, they left, Megan seeming really tired and constantly asking Pj for cuddles. Phil laughed at her, not quite used to her antics but knowing she was just being clingy in the exhausted way. Phil and I ended up going back to my room, where we ended up laying in bed, phil resting his head on my chest and my hands running through his Raven hair. No words had to be said, as we layed there, enjoying each other's comfort.
I pressed a small kiss to Phil's head and watched as his eyes fluttered shut, and him mumbling a sleepy "goodnight." And that's how we ended the night, cuddled in each other's arms, fallen into a peaceful sleep.

A/N: Hey guys!
Okay so I'm sorry I took some time off of updating, I've been kinda busy with school and work and oh yeah! MEETING DAN AND PHIL!!! My dreams are actually alive (sorry that was overkill) but yes, I hugged them and heard their accents irl and they were both just giant dorks, as we already expected. I met them in Sydney on the day that Dan decided to paint his nails and not straighten his hair! It was truly a blessing (The picture up the top is me meeting them of course) and Phil was an absolute angel bean.
Anywhale sorry for the VERY late update, I sorta had writers block and I will try to update as much as possible, all while avoiding exams! Yay!Lots o love,
Elisaveth ❤️
