Chapter 35 - Tess

As we went through security a numerous amount of times, we walked onto the plane. It wasn't aprivate jet but we had the whole business class to ourselves. I sat down next to Niall and put my backpack underneath the seat infront of me. Cara sat with Liam, Iz with Zayn and Harry with Louis.

We all exchanged presents. I played with the rings around my finger and then at the necklace around my neck that Niall gave me. I looked over at him. He was wearing a low singlet top with the necklace I bought him.The sun was dangerously refelcting off the shiny silver surface of the pendant. I smiled knowing he liked it and was wearing it.

After we had 'settled' onto the plane, they let the other passengers on. They had to walk past business class but there were curtains on either side shielding us from the public. I was feeling a bit restless and twitchy. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Niall turn his head towards me. I didn't turn my head towards him but I felt him squeeze my hand. It put me at ease somehow.

I strapped in and waited till we were up in the air. I had passed around a packet of gum to help everyone with their popped ears. I put on my headphones and a Teen Wolf on. I watched all three seasons in a blink. Niall had falled asleep on my shoulder. I then put on the Vampire Diaries. I love the Vampire Diaries.

An announcement came over saying that we are ahead of schedule and that we would be served dinner soon. I smiled at the thought of food but then frowned at the thought of plane food. Plane food was disgusting! How could anyone eat it for that long! I mean it is okay but still! They don't give you very many choices either!

I could feel my nails digging into the seat catching foam underneath my finger nails. My chest became tight and I started wheezing. Niall is pretty much the only one around me that can comfort me. Niall was asleep on my shoulder and I didn't want to wake him. I squeezed my eyes shut so tight that I started seeing white. I took a few deep breaths and thought of the one person who lights up my world like no body else.

He was Irish and had dirty blonde hair. He loves food and was asleep on my shoulder. I opened my eyes, completely calm. I sighed in relief. I did it! I can stop myself. Now all I need to do is control it. I looked down at my shoulder but there wasn't any weight there anymore. Niall was awake and droopy but he smiled proud of what I had just done.

"Well done Tess"

I blushed and he kissed my now even rosier cheeks. He smiled and looked into my brown eyes. His eyes poured out all his feeling at that moment. He was so happy and proud of me for calming myself down. He was showing so much love that it broke my heart. I knew that if I took one wrong turn, it would be over.

- Cara -

I lay my head on Liam's shoulder and dozed off. What felt like after five minutes, Liam gently shook me awake. "Hm?"

"Car wake up. We are having dinner. What do you want? Salmon or Butter Chicken?"

"B-udder chicken" I said during a yawn.

"2 Butter Chickens please" said Liam.

I looked at the screen that was infront of me and stared at it. I was lost in thought. My table came down infront of my and suddenly there was a delicious smell of Butter Chicken. "Cara!"

I shaken out of my trance and my head snapped towards Liam. "Cara? Are you okay?"

"Yeah. Yeah. It's just that we've been on this plane for ages" he rubbed my back and kissed my temple and we started to eat. Liam and I stayed up talking for a while until all the lights dimmed down. I watched a movie and Liam went to sleep.

- Harry -

I hate planes. We go on them so much. We do rely on them a lot but... I don't know. I could hear Tess behind me freaking out. Shit! I hope she's not going to lash out son somebody. I heard her breathing heavily. It took all of my will power not to go over to her and hug her until she was okay. Why wasn't Niall helping her? Probably for a good reason.

Tess' heavy breathing stopped. I heard her voice and Nialls voice softly whispering. I admit that I am jealous of what they have. I want someone to be there for me. Someone to miss me. Someone that I can worry about other than the boys. I wish that someone was Tess. I promised Niall. I'm not going to ruin what they have for my benefit.

The lights dimmed down. That was my cue to put on another movie. We have been on the plane for about five hours now. WILD CHILD! It's such a bad movie. It's so bad that it's good. Louis, next to me turned around in his chair. He has been asleep for the past three hours. Or was he?

"Harry" he whispered. He turned around to face me. His eyes were wide awake and his pupils were huge.

"Louis? You okay?"

"Why don't we have anyone?"

"What...I don't know Louis. I'm sure we'll find someone soon. We are pretty attractive guys"

"Still. Do you know when?"

"No Lou. I don't. You over Lucy?"

"Mph..."

He turned around to face the window. I don't think he is over Lucy yet. She still has a place in his heart.

- Niall -

Im so proud of Tess. She didn't lash out. She calmed herself down with no help at all. I'm so proud of her. Shes come so far. Everyone is helping her get better step by step. We are all encouraging her, helping her and keeping her in a calm state. The doctors said it would be an arduous job. It is but it is better than we all expected.

I kissed her on the temple and she blushed. I fell back asleep on her shoulder. Minutes later I felt her silky brown hair cascading down my head as she rested hers on mine. We peacefully slept like that. I woke up before Tess and I didn't want to mover her so instead I just sang to her until she woke up.

"Hmmm? Niall?"

"Tess! You're awake" she blushed and quickly moved her head. I kissed her forehead. We put on Titanic and watched together. When Rose let go of Jack, I saw a glistening tear slip out of Tess' eye. I hugged her and moved the arm of the seat that was between us so we could cuddle. After the movie ended we talked and whispered and laughed. We recalled old times we shared when we were kids. 

This was the best flight I've ever had.
