Chapter 28 - Niall

After Tess had finished singing we all gaped. Cara and Iz were smirking at eachother. "Tess you're really good" everyone complemented. The glow of the fire lit up her face, emphasising her features. Her cheeks grew a rosy colour. She looked down as her hair flowed down making a curtain around her head. I hugged her close to my chest and kissed her temple. She looked up at me and smiled. 

The warmth of the fire wrapped around me like a blanket. Everyone was sharing stories of their lives. "I remember Tess was on a swing and I started pushing her. I pushed her too high and she ended up falling on the ground. She cried and bled all over the path. I ran to her and picked her up and brought her home". I said looking at Tess. "Her mum comforted her and I helped clean up her cuts". Tess giggled and blushed. She lay her head on my chest.

"Good one Niall..." Harry joked

"I have one" Tess said in an almost daydream voice. "On our 7th brithday, Niall  played and sang me a song. In return I gave him a charm bracelet" She held up her arm and my arm to show our bracelets. I tear slipped out of my eye. 

"I love you Tess" I whispered in her ear. 

THE NEXT DAY

When I woke up, last nights fire had turned into a few black logs, some ash and a few glowing embers. I put some sand over it to stop the embers from burning. I gently shook Tess. 

"What?" 

"Its morning. We need to go". She rubbed her eyes and yawned. As her eyes reopened I kissed her. 

"Niall"

"Tess" I mimicked her whining voice. She kissed me back and I shouted "EVERYBODY UP!" No one moved. Tess and I looked at eachother mischeviously. We ran to the car and grabbed buckets and filled them up with water. 

"One"

"Two"

"THREE!" We both shouted. We splashed everone with water. 

"Ahhhhh!"

"Oh my god!"

What the actual hell?"

Tess and I dropped to the ground rolling in laughter. She got up and look apologetically at everyone. "Come on! We have  to go!"

They slowly got up and shook off the excess water. Paul had come down and helped pack up. We loaded everything into the car and we drove back up to the house. 

- Tess -

The boys all had to quickly shower and go rehearse for their show. When the boys left Cara and Iz looked at me with a smirk. 

"What?!"

"We told you didn't we?"

"Yep we were right. You just don't want to admit it do you?"

"Ok ok! I admit it. I really like Niall and now we are..."

"Together?"

I looked down and nodded. I've been noticing that I've been doing that a lot. I just like how my hair forms a barrier between me and the outside world. I do it so I don't have to see people's judging faces. 

"So what do we girls want to do today?" I asked. My two friends pondered. 

"Fat day!" Cara exclaimed. 

"A what?" Iz and I asked.

"A fat day. You know, we watch movies, order in and cuddle and you know...other stuff" Cara explained. Honestly sometimes, I have no idea what that child is on about. 

"Sure" we agreed. We all changed into our favourite comfy clothes. I had my fish muscle tee on. I love fish. They just seem so graceful swimming through the water. 

"How do we feel about Thai food?" 

"Definitely". I called up Thai Riffic and ordered a Chicken  and a beef Pad Thai. We watched several movies ate Thai food and by the time it was 4 pm, Zayn had called Iz. 

- Zayn -

"Hey Iz"

"Hey Zayn"

"How do you and the girls feel about going to our show tonight? You'll sit backstage and see everything that happens. After that, you'll come to the VIP area where we get to meet some of our fans and then we can go prowl around Queensland or we could stay home"

"I'll just ask the girls". I could hear faint voices through the phone. "We've all agreed to go and I think that all of you will be too tired for an activity afterwards. How ever since you don't have a show tomorrow we could go somewhere then"

"Sounds good. See you at the concert. You have till 5. Someone will pick you up and bring you backstage. I love you!"

"Love you too"

I hung up. I was thinking very deeply. I want to take Iz out on a date. I don't know the area too well. Maybe when we go to Sydney I can think of something. This is our last show in Queensland. The day after tomorrow we fly off to Sydney. 

- Niall -

I have planned a date or Tess and I in Sydney. None of the boys know Queensland too well. We know Sydney though. I think Tess really likes fish. I'll bring her to the Sydney Aquarium and I know that there is a massive tank that you can just sit in front of and it seems magical. Then We will go swimming with fish, sharks, dugongs and stingray. I know Tess will love it. 

I am planning on telling her the night we land in Sydney. I really like Tess and I am falling hard. Its ironic how as children we always said I love you. It had no meaning then. Well... It did. It just meant that we were really close friends and nothing could break us apart. But I now when I say it, I feel different. I really hope I can keep Tess. Somewhere along our relationship everything will fall apart. Harry will then break me just like he promised. I hope that day never comes. 

I'm right. 

Right?

I THINK I'M GOING CRAZY!

"NIALL! the girls are here". Liam yelled. I turned my head in the direction of Liams voice. Tess ran towards me. She was wearing her fish muscle tee. See... she likes fish. I picked her up and kissed her. She kissed me back. Her hands flew to my hair tugging at my short, dirty blonde locks. I placed my hand in the small of her back and brought her closer to me. We pulled away gasping for breath. "I love you Tess"

"I love you to Niall" she said bringing me in for another kiss.
